Chapter 5
“And then what happened?” Kit asked still not able to shake the surprise off her face.
“I cooked breakfast for her and told her that I knew what she was gonna say to me and left” Bette said still looking sad.
“And that was it?! She didn’t try to stop you from leaving?” Kit kept on asking questions. It was hard to believe that her sister had suddenly come out of her hiding place, and even harder to buy that she had spent the night with a woman.
“Well she seemed surprised I wasn’t staying but at the same time I saw her face relax for a moment there, like if she was relieved” Bette answered sounding defeated. Kit remained silent for a few moments, still analyzing everything her younger sister had told her.
“Well baby sis, it’s her loss” She said squeezing Bette’s hand, trying to reassure her that everything would be ok.
“I think it’s more like my loss you know… I mean I… it had been so long since I had been attracted to someone else. Well since you know who, and she seemed nice and warm… and she was, but I was hoping for more… well I don’t know what I was hoping for really but certainly not feeling like this” Bette said and released a big sigh she wasn’t aware she was holding.
“I know but look at the bright side, you went out right? You got laid girl! You’re getting your mojo back!” Kit said trying not to sound too excited.
“Well Kit… I don’t think I’m getting my “mojo” back, otherwise I would be feeding her pancakes… in bed” Bette said bitterly.
“I know that you don’t see it now, but you are getting back on your own feet and I couldn’t be happier about it… besides who knows if you start going out more often, and women will actually KNOW you are on the market again… you may cross paths with a certain blonde who will see all those beautiful women trying to lure you… and perhaps, maybe… she’ll realize what a huge mistake she did by letting you go” Kit said trying to comfort her sister, since nothing else seemed to be working.

Tina’s going to Kelly’s wedding … Bette was hired to do a fancy wedding next weekend… I think they’re going to meet if the wedding is the same! ;) PPS thanks for the update

I entirely agree with Vixien’s theory.. That’s the only way I can see this going forward.. damn I hope they serve pancakes at the wedding.. Then Tina would recognise Bette!! Oh gooodddddieeee, they seem to be attending the same wedding. One for her friend and the other as the cater. I can’t wait for them to come face to face again. I think Shane is right, Tina should ask Bette out on a date.
i was hoping tina was going to be a guest at that wedding… and i also wonder if shane knows kit amd she’s bette’s sister… love this..pps
I like Tiggerbounced’s idea…that would be so funny if Tina recognized the taste of pancakes and went into a panic either searching for the chef or hiding from her :) Seriously though, I do hope Bette doesn’t get involved with Lauren before Tina has a chance to come to grips with the idea that she is a lesbian and she’s crazy about Bette Porter.

Loved it. I’m wondering if Tina knows Kit and if she will put two and two together. At least there is the upcoming wedding and lord I want them to see each other and just salivate. Then get together. Please don’t let Kit turn Lauren towards Bette before Tina has a chance to figure out what has happened and that she is indeed head over heels for Ms. Bette Porter. HOpe Shane will go to Bette and tell her that Tina is going to the wedding next weekend. Lord bring on the weekend and the wedding. !!!!!! Whoa. Tina sent Bette away after the woman made her pancakes, that’s just plain wrong. It seems that they are going to the same wedding. I kinda like what both Kit and Shane advised our girls.
