Chapter 6

“They’re late….again!”  Alice throws herself down on the oversized sofa in the VIP room at HIT.  Dana just rolls her eyes, while Shane watches the door, hoping Carmen arrives soon.  Two girls have already approached Shane with their numbers and she really wants to be good.  She really wants to see where things go with Carmen.

“Shut it, Alice…at least they said they would come.  Tina has to be worn out by now.  She works all week and then you badger them into clubbing with us?  Stop being so selfish already.”

“Working is not what has Tina ‘worn out’, Shane.  It’s Porter.  She stays ‘in heat’ nowadays.  Tina is lucky that we’re getting Bette out of the house so she’ll stop pawing at her for at least one night!”

“Sounds like your jealous, Al…you wishing for somebody to paw at you?”  Shane heard Dana cough out her drink and laughed. 

“When are you 2 going to admit that you’re doing the nasty!  It’s obvious to all of us!”

“Whoa Shane….what makes you think Alice and I have anything going on?  I have no idea what you’re talking about!”

“The girls dressing room has an echo.”  Shane smirked.

Alice and Dana both blushed scarlet and looked at each other.  Alice begged, “Please don’t tell anybody.  We’re not ready for everybody to know.”

Dana looks at Alice, “We?”  I’m fine with people knowing and I’ve told you that.  You’re the one with the problem.  What’s the matter, Alice?  Are you embarrassed to be with me?”

Alice starts stuttering, “Of c-c-course not, Dana. It’s just that….”

“I don’t want to hear it.  Don’t talk to me.”  Dana stands up and walks to the bar.

Alice glares at Shane, “Thanks, PAL….what was that all about?  You never speak…and tonight you can’t shut up?  She’s mad and now she’ll never let me go home with her tonight.  I hope you trip over your feet and sprain both your wrists.”

Shane flicks her tongue at Alice and says, “Who needs fingers?”

Bette walks up just in time to see the tongue action. “Damn Shane, are you trying to channel Gene Simmons, now?”

“Nahh…just showing Alice how it’s done.  She’s out of practice.”
