Something so right – chapter 56

    Something so right

    Chapter 56

Tina knew that she had been like a bear with a sore head all day. It was Thursday and her second day back at work after the fiasco that had been Thanksgiving. As much as she tried she could put the image to the back of her mind of the boy that she had fucked now fucking her mother. It was just too freaking bad for words. But words were something that she needed to find. She had decided to talk to Bette about what was going on inside her head – she needed to quell these demons or they would bring her to her knees. Bette also didn’t deserve to remember her first few days living full time with Tina as being ones where she had to deal with a grumpy girlfriend. Nothing was going to come between Bette and Tina – nothing even if it was something as gross as her mother making love to Tina’s ex.

Arriving home just after 7 she was pleased to see Bette’s blue Saab in its new parking space. They had vowed to keep one another informed about what time they were likely to be home. The rule was that you stuck to it or you bought dinner the next time they went out. So far Tina was one meal down – first day back she had been an hour late -arriving home to find that Bette was casually reading “ Where to eat in LA “. Bette had picked an expensive Mexican restaurant for their Friday night date – somewhere that was going to cost Tina big bucks – especially as Bette was also going to be picking the wine.

It looked like Bette was going to make sure Tina paid for being an hour late – Tina knew in return that she would coin it in when Bette’s show was getting closer. But what mattered was that Bette was home – Tina needed a hug.

It was still odd to arrive home after work and find someone in your apartment. Tina opened her own front door and walked inside. Bette was usually lazing on the sofa but tonight the TV was playing but she wasn’t in sight. Tina put her case and car keys down and went looking. She was surprised to find Bette in the kitchen. Tina lent against the door frame and grinned. Bette was chopping onions – she was actually doing it at speed and with some skill. Tina waited until she has stopped and spoke

    1. I’m glad they got to talk. All that was eating away at Tina. Not good. Hopefully they can move forward and have a great Christmas. Thanks for posting!

    2. That was a nice, effective strategy to get the ugly images off Tina’s head. Replace them with good, loving and memorable ones. I enjoyed their bed talk, tickle war and laughter. Many thanks for this post, Ally! :>

    3. Its time these two get to relax and enjoy themselves, its been pretty tough for both since they came from Tina’s home. And boy, the images in Tinas head are pretty nasty to deal with.

    4. Two amazing stories from one amazing writer!!! Ally will will always be here to read what you write but you also need to do what your heart tells you. Thank you!!!! I am glad you are going to keep these going.

    5. Such a wonderful chapter Ally, I liked Bette’s openness and honesty, they are a great couple, and what they have is so rare, that level of understanding and love is so precious. Thanks Ally, post soon. Love

    6. Great chapter, as always!!! I love this story and I am glad that you are continuing it. Tina needs to learn to have a little more faith in Bette, but in the end, she did tell Bette her troubles. Bette was great in how supportive and helpful she was to Tina. Can’t wait to read about them in front of the fireplace :P PPVS
