Bette, Tina breathed as she fell into Bettes arms.

Ive missed you, T. Dont go away again for a while. Finally letting go, they headed towards Bettes car and drove to Tinas apartment.

This place is a mess! It looks like my closet threw up. Tina started to unpack.

Why not unpack later? Chill out for a bit… we can grab an early dinner and watch a movie at my place. Bette tucked a strand of blonde hair behind Tinas ear.

What did your family do to you, make you run miles every day? Or just shovel all that snow? Bette joked until she saw the serious look on Tinas face. T, whats wrong? What happened?

Bette, I told my family about you. Tina sighed. Jules was great. Really… she was totally fine with it and cant wait to meet you.

Theres always a but isnt there? Well, lets just say my mother is in complete denial about the whole thing and my dad wont even mention it.

Oh, Tina, why didnt you call me? Bette held her.

Bette cupped Tinas face in her hands, looking into her eyes. Dont ever be concerned about worrying me. Im allowed to worry about you because you are a part of me now. Youre my family.

A single tear crawled down Tinas cheek. Bette kissed it away.

How about that food? The offer still stand?

Bette simply nodded and guided Tina out to her car. When they arrived at Bettes, they placed an order for food and settled in to watch a movie, opening two bottles of beer.

I cant believe Im drinking beer. Bette laughed.

We always drink wine and sometimes I need beer. Tina took a long drink.

Do you know how attractive you are? Bette studied Tina closely, watching her drink the cold beer, her blonde hair curling slightly. Her skin glowed pink and her cheeks were rosy. Bette ran a finger down the side of her face before kissing her gently.

My parents are fools for not wanting to meet you. They are missing out on the best thing thats ever happened to me. Tinas eyes shone.

Just then the doorbell rang and Bette jumped up, patting Tina on the head as she ran to pay the delivery man. They snuggled on the floor, blankets as a seat and ate while watching a movie. Bette focused on holding Tina and keeping her tight and safe in her arms, hoping to bring a sense of security for her. She loved Tina and she wanted the whole world to know, even Tinas parents. Wishing things could be easier, Bette sighed and kissed Tinas shoulder.
