Chapter 26
Helena leaned against the door frame of Tina’s
office watching her friend as she typed away on her laptop, her forehead
creased a she concentrated on what she was typing.
Helena smiled as she knocked on the door frame to
make her presence known.
“Hey you” Tina smiled as she looked up
“You’re here early” Helena said as she walked
towards one of the chairs and took a seat
“Yeah well I have to get this report to Tom before
my flight leaves.”
“You look tired” Helena said
Tina chuckled
“Thanks Helena I knew I could count on you to make
me feel better” Tina shook her head
“Have you talked to her at all?”
“To whom are you referring to, Helena” Tina
sarcastically replied knowing full well who Helena was referring to
“You know bloody damn well who Im referring to Tina”
Helena replied
Tina sat back in her chair and took a deep breath
finally shaking her head no.
Helena walked over and took a seat in one of the
chairs directly in front of Tina’s desk.
“It’s been two weeks…how long are you guys going to
continue doing this”
“I didn’t do this, she did” Tina answered
“Fine, but maybe you need to be the bigger person
here and call her.”
“No I can’t I can’t let her think she could have her
way, I don’t like ultimatums Helena you of all people should know that, she has
a problem with trusting people she needs to fix that before I can even consider
having any kind of relationship with her”
“Why didn’t you tell her about us?” Helena asked
“I mean you guys were already head over heels for
each other why not tell her and be honest, especially when you knew you were
coming to New York to meet with me”
Tina took a deep breath.
“I don’t know…”
Helena gave Tina a look
“Ok, ok fine…” Tina said running her hands thru her
hair
“I think I knew she would react like this given her
past experience with her ex, and I just wanted to spare her the worry”
“How thoughtful of you” Helena said sarcastically “I
think you now know that by not being honest with her you made things worse”
Tina remained silent
“You could sit there all high and mighty Ms. Kennard
and continue to work yourself to death but you know I’m right”

I still say , Tina needs to apologize.
It wasn’t Helena’s place to have that talk with Bette. I don’t trust her and I can’t believe if Tina was so in love with Helena that one night with Dylan would have been the end of them. I hate when Helena, Tina and Jodi work on Bette’s fragile emotions to manipulate her. Helena needs to move out of Tina’s house and keep her distance to give these two a chance. If Tina is threatening Helena with her job for personal reasons then I would say that is a conflict of interest. Jodi is obviously a non-issue for Bette but I’m not sure Helena is. Glad to see you back with this story even if I’m in disagreement about how it’s going.
Great update! Hopefully w/ Helena’s help Bette and Tina can’t get back to the love they once shared. PPS!

That was great and glad to see Helena is helping Bette and Tina there, and being a good friend, jodi is a bitch and hope she will be gone soon. Now let see Bette go talk to Tina and work thing out. Pleaes post morr, thanks!
So glad that jodi is an idiot. Really happy that Bette told her where to go. Now with any luck Bette is on her way to see Tina and apologize for being an idiot as well. Hopefully Tina will accept her apology and let Helena move into a hotel which is best for all concerned. I’m torn as to whether or not Tina needed to tell Bette about Helena, after all it is in the past in Tina’s mind, not so sure about Helena’s, maybe, maybe not just not sure on that. At any rate I’m glad that Helena explained to Bette what had happened and that their relationship at this point is platonic. Although platonic, I don’t think it is ever a good idea to be friends with an ex when you know that your partner has a jealous streak and that she has been hurt very badly in the past. Jealousy is a very bad thing and sometimes doesn’t lessen over time even though they have all the explanations in the world regarding whatever has them in a snit. Hopefully they can make up before Tina leaves for her trip which will make her get back home as fast as possible. Have really missed the story, thanks so much for coming back to us.
