    The Beginning of Bette and Tina—Chapter 8

     

    Previously…

     

    “That’s more like it.  Now, since I’m the boss, I get to make you play a game with me.”

                “Um, does this involve us still being naked and possibly getting sweaty?” Bette said wiggling her eyebrows.

                Tina laughed at Bette’s antic, “That’s not quite what I had in mind.  We’ll do that after the game.”

                “Promise?”

                “Oh, you better believe it.”

                “Good.  Now, what’s the game?”

                “Well,” Tina said climbing off Bette and settling down beside her again, “it’s one that will help us get to know each other better.  Have you ever played 20 questions?”

                “Yeah.  This sounds fun and slightly dangerous.”

                “Got something you’re afraid to spill, Porter?”

                “No, not all,” Bette fibbed.

                “Yeah, sure.  Well, since you sounded so convincing, I’m going to go first.”

                “Go ahead—ask away.”

     

     

    Chapter 8

     

    “Okay, question number one…when were you born?”

                “February 19, 1977.”

                “Hmm, interesting”

                “Why?  When were you born?”

                “Oh, no, it isn’t your turn to ask the questions.”

                “Okay, okay.”

                “Second question…where are you originally from?”

                “Philadelphia.”

                “Third…what’s your full name?

                “Elizabeth Leigh Porter.  I was named after my grandmothers.”

                “Aw, that’s sweet.  I love it.  Okay, Elizabeth Leigh, question number four.  Do you have any siblings?”

                “Yes.  I have one sister, Kit.  She’s actually a half-sister—we have different mothers.  I’ll fill you in on the whole story later.”

                “Okay, I’m looking forward to it.  Fifth question…who was your first kiss?”

                “Ha.  Jeffery Morgan.  We were neighbors and our friends dared us.  As two ten-year olds we were not about to turn down a dare.  Needless to say, it was not romantic.  Jeff was one of my best friends.  I still keep in touch with him every now and then.”

                “Haha!  That’s a very cute story, and somehow I still don’t see you turning down dares at this age.”

                “You’re probably right.”

                “So, who was your first female kiss?”

                “That’s question number six by the way.  Her name was Kristin Smith.  We were juniors in high school and away at a swim met.  Both of us had won our races and we were on a natural high.  My heart was pounding so fast when I realized what was about to happen.  It was amazing—so soft and tender.  There was no doubt about my sexuality after that kiss.”

    2. Great chapter. That last question really caught me off guard. I would think Bette would have proposed in a more romantic fashion, but when the time is right, you may as well jump in with both feet! Now you have to post very soon Kirby because I need to hear T’s answer!

    3. Love this, they’re so cute while answering the questions. 150, Bette you bad girl. Love the last question, great lead in, lets just hope Tina says yes, after she gets over the shock.

    7. Yes, I will marry you Bette. Oh she asked Tina not me, bummer. I loved their questions to each other and I hope that Bette will open up to Tina about her own mother.

    8. When I read that last line my exact words were “Oh, Shit!” : ) I hope that they stay together and that Tina or Bette doesn’t mess it up. And by the way you are doing a great job! Please Post Soon! Great Story!
