Alice and Dana were spending more time together than ever before, but, Alice felt they were drifting apart. Or at least drifting away from where Alice hoped their relationship would go. She didn’t know how to progress the relationship and she was concerned that the longer they waited, the more Dana’s insecurities would solidify.
Alice and Shane communicated several times a day, but, only got together in person every couple months — almost always at the island. The visits were done on Shane’s schedule. She would come by whenever her wandering feet told her to head home. When Alice asked Shane to come back to the island because she needed to talk, Shane immediately recalled her crew, got on her jet and flew home. She knew it must be important. Or important to Alice — which was enough for Shane.
It was late when Shane arrived and she went directly to Alice’s suite. The other woman was expecting her and was in her comfy t-shirt and lounge pants — her sleepover outfit.
Shane gave Alice a big hug and then went off to the suite she kept at the main house. She took a quick shower and then threw on a tank top and some shorts. She loved to travel, but, it was great to come back home. She went back to Alice’s room and flopped on her favorite chair. She had to smile. They had spent so much time her at the house and talked about everything as they grew up. Shane missed it.
“You want espresso?” Alice asked as she headed for the phone. She would have to get the kitchen staff back to the house — Alice could do basic coffee only. And she wasn’t sure what Shane’s schedule was like from the traveling.
“No. Don’t bother the staff. I got my fill on the plane. How about a beer?” Alice went off to the kitchen and came back with two open cold ones. She handed one to Shane and then flopped on the sofa.
“So…. Where is the PA tonight?” Shane said with a grin.
“She is in a meeting with the security folks.” Alice answered quickly. They sat in silence for a few minutes.
“What’s up, Al? Things seemed to be going well for you two. I know she wanted to take it slow, but, you were all right with that.”

“Hotel sheet narc” Im cracking up MG!!! U are one funny woman!! Loved this update,loved the sock puppets too! Slow is good,but tooooooo slow sometimes is not a good idea (lost of intrest) maybe Dana will break down soon and let Alice in?????? As always MG u rule!!! Spotter huh? 2 funny!!! HDD + PPS!!
Hello MG… I for one Love the pace you are taking this story… it just goes to show you the different ways people deal with their fears… I love the complete interaction between both Shane and Alice they are so designed for one another and if something should happen to the other it would literally shatter them… I love how Dana is all motherly towards Alice and yet still has a certain level of distance… I absolutely love the details you put into you stories… the minor things within your dialog and conversations really bring a sense of reality and truth to them… like the way people actually speak to one another with small talk and stuff… mucho love this story… and well yeah I’m back… mucho hugs, JC

I am so happy to see you posting again so soon. What a treat plus cougar is back too. I am with Iluleisha & darkhawdown1. The socks rocked!! LMAO. I was expecting a little more wisdom from Casanova Shane. But instead both were drunk before they could discuss the matter further. lol. You are really doing a fantastic job with the story. Being a worry worm, I am a little concerned with the upcoming trip to New York. Hopefully they have all the security detail all ironed out. I truly enjoyed reading this post and thank you very much.

I love this. That was great shane and alice drunk the was the best then dana putting them to bed that was great and it so how much she cares for both women I can’t wait to see what will happen next pps great update I love it.

Another great chapter! I totally love this story… I’m looking forward to where you take the whole NYC trip idea… didn’t you say earlier in the story that that is where Bette and Tina live? Getting the whole gang together maybe? Oooo.. or maybe something happens and Dana saves the day and gets all hot and sweaty and bad-ass and.. going to take a shower now….
A drunk Shane and Alice are finny. Alice and her puppet socks are always funny. Almost time for Alice and Dana to get the real show on the road. thanks
AJ: You are too witty and quick. I completely forgot about MaGoose’s short story “The Iron” posted at the end of May. LMAO too. Really, no pun intended. You are absolutely right. We should suggest to MaGoose to have the guards armed themselves with irons. But beforehand, Sam would conduct a special “iron” training course designed by A. D should keep an extra one with her, aside from the fact that she would need to iron A’s wrinkled clothes from the suitcase, being her PA and all that, or heating up their late night ham and cheese sandwich at the hotel and pretending that they were still on the beach, but seriously, just in case Gabby got away from the camels in the desert, D could use it like A did to the crab’s head. (I am actually hurting from too much laughing at this point.)

I dunno why, but drunken AlSha always cracks me up. SOmehow I think Dana won’t let Alice forget the sock puppets and bad accents any time soon. I do think this is the beginning of the The Island’s AlShaDane and we are all the better for it. So, wait, does this mean no more line to help Dana get some experience…cause now would bee the safest time, with NinjaAl! incapacitated. HMMMMM. Food for thought! Great stuff as always Goose. Can’t wait for more.
