Bette: I’m not playing your games

“That will be it for today,” Bette Porter finished her final class of the day. The students sighed in relief and quickly gathered their books. They couldn’t get out soon enough.
She was used to the fact that most of the students weren’t in her class because they were interested in art history. This was supposed to be a subject they had chosen for, but Bette knew better. They had got a list of subjects and art history was less harm than the others. Although her class was packed, most weren’t listening. The grades for art history weren’t really important and the pupils knew that very well.
She turned around to whipe off the blackboard and saw to her surprise that it was already done. She arched her eyebrows and looked around, but the classroom was empty. Empty except from one student: Tina Kennard. She was slowly putting her books in her bag, looking all flustered.
“Thank you, Tina,” Bette smiled. Tina looked up and went completely red.
“My pleasure, miss Porter,” Tina whispered. She was now practically running out of the classroom, whereas five minutes ago she couldn’t stay in long enough. Bette frowned again; Tina Kennard was certainly behaving quite weird.

This blonde girl with her southern accent had only come to the school where she was teaching that year and all year, Bette hadn’t heard her speak a lot. She seemed to be very shy and she didn’t have that many friends. In the corridors, she sometimes saw the blonde student with Shane and Alice, which surprised her a bit. Shane and Alice were totally different from Tina, Bette knew that from experience.
She locked the door of her classroom and as she was going down to the main entrance, she was stopped by a colleague.

“Hi, Jodie,” Bette said, slightly annoyed. Jodie Lerner didn’t hide she was a lesbian and she didn’t hide that she wanted Bette Porter. Bette just wish Jodie wouldn’t do that when they were at school. She wasn’t completely reluctant of her fellow teacher, but she didn’t feel attracted either. She even felt a bit uncomfortable around her.

“Bette,” Jodie answered. They were now walking together to the entrance hall. “Would you like to have dinner with me?”
“I’m sorry, I already have plans,” Bette replied, not telling the truth. The only plans she had was another lonely night on the couch watching bad kung fu movies. She loved those movies, but she wished many times she could hold someone watching them.

    1. I like it, I’m glad they both like each other but that Bette won’t cross that line because Tina is a student. I will be very glad when Bette tells Jodi she is not interested. I would love to read more.

    2. So far I am into this story. Lets not kid ourselves. I am into anything involving Bette and Tina and good writing and I have always enjoyed Genner!
