    Chapter 22

    Bette followed behind Shane at a safe distance. She could see Shane waving to people on the street as she passed them by. Shane turned around at a light and waved to Bette. Bette just shook her head.

    Shanes phone vibrated in her front pocket. She looked at the caller ID to see it was Bette.

    Shane: Im soooooo lovin this truck.

    Bette pulled the phone from her ear. She could hear the music blaring in the background.

    Bette: Youre such an *****!

    Shane: And you love it.

    Bette could see Shane dancing in the front seat.

    Bette: Im sorry you did say you could dance right?…cause all Im seeing is a white girl in desperate need of some brown sugar in her life.

    Shane: You wish! Ive got moves dont you worry.

    The two pulled in front of the church and walked up the front steps together.

    Shane: How about Tex? You know since people in Texas have trucks….or I know…Dallas! Thats a great name…Johnny?…no…Johnnys always die in the end of the movie…Hmmm

    When they entered the church, Shane finally shut up. She stared at the floor as she walked over to the booth. Father Joe was already at work in the center booth. Bette grabbed a rag and a bottle of Lemon Oil.

    Father Joe: Ya sure ya know what yer gettin yerself inta?

    Bette: Im not affraid of a little elbow grease.

    Bette walked into the booth on the far left, and Shane walked into the stall on the far right. Shane and Father Joe didnt acknowledge each other.

    Father Joe: So Ms. Bette, how are things fer ya?

    Bette: Good actually I have more time off work, thats why Im here. I wanted to tell you I can help in the mornings at least two days a week.

    Father Joe: Aye…ya dont say. We can always use da help. Lord knows da three of us barely run da place as is.

    1. Hey both update are great. OK, Shane love the truck but I really wondering if she really understand the meaning of accepting it. It gave Cherrie a reason to believe that She can have Shane back with her money. At if Shane was to sold. I’m waiting for my next fix

    2. Trust is hard one to recover… I wonder what it will take (outside of sincere words backed up by even more sincere actions) for Bette to finally win Tina’s trust again. I can’t imagine the newfound friendship with Shane Bette kept secret from Tina helps in this endeavor. Thanks for new chapter!

I am sorry you had to quit your job #2 but make sure you give your self some time…you need it.. and besides.. we need you with a clear head to post these wonderful stories… take care and try and get some rest.. :)

    8. Bette wants win Tina’s trust again ? How ? She’s always with Shane… She could first spend some time with Tina, no ? And this newfound friendship between Bette and Shane. Is it only friendship ? Bette in Shane’lap… They’re always touching each others… Isn’t too much for a real friendship ? But I like that Bette wants help Shane… She was and is so in pain.
      If Bette truly loves Tina, I hope this Mission will be successfull.
