It was finally Friday night and the girls had all gathered at the Planet when they finished work. There was no particular organisation to the gathering, people just simply arrived when they could and ordered some food whenever they felt like it. By around 7pm the gang had all arrived and were seated around their usual table.
"Soooo, how does everybody fancy a night on the town tomorrow?" Alice asked eagerly.
Shane and Carmen glanced at one another "We’re in"
"So long as you don’t let me drink as much as last weekend" Dana warned.
"Ditto" Helena added.
"I dunno guys, I’ve got so much to do with the wedding and all, I might have to give it a miss" Tina spoke up.
"TK you have to come, in a week you’re gonna be boring and married, this is your last chance to have fun" Alice pushed her.
"I will not be boring Al" the blonde protested.
"Well I’m in" Bette said, refusing to look at Tina "I’ve got a lot of tension to let go of"
"See, even boring ol’ Porter’s coming" Alice told Tina "What else can you possibly have left to do?"
"I still need to buy my underwear set for the wedding night" the blonde explained.
A clanging sound rang around the table as Bette’s fork dropped from her hand and fell onto her plate.
"Sorry" she mumbled.
"Well how about me and Porter come shopping with you on Sunday in return for you coming out tomorrow?" Alice offered.
"Excuse me?" Bette glared at Alice.
"You two are like attached at the hip, I assumed you’d wanna come" Alice replied with a shrug.
"I’m busy" Bette retorted, getting to her feet.
"Doing what?"
"Hanging myself" the brunette replied sarcastically "I’m going home, I’ll see you tomorrow"
Without giving anyone a chance to say goodbye or try to persuade her to stay, Bette headed out of the Planet to her car and made her way home. Back inside most of the women were staring at the door that she had exited through in confusion.
"What’s got her Calvin Klein knickers in a twist?" Alice mused.
"No idea" Shane responded dryly, staring directly at Tina.
The blonde blushed and looked away.
"Anyway TK, so what do you say me and you hit the stores on Sunday? You know I’ll help you find the sexiest little number they got in Victoria’s Secret"

Oh BB, you are killing me! Please just let them fuck already! I’m getting as frustrated as Bette. How can Tina keep resisting her? She’s got the will power of a … shit, I don’t know anyone that has that kind of will power. PPS :)
Okay Tina, here is a clue. Ask yourself if you can live without Henry. If the answer is yes, let him go and head for the life with the person you just said you can’t live without!

Tina may be right about the first time, but I do not understand how she can resist.
I ask the same question Bette asks. Tina keeps putting this thing off and keeps playing with Bette’s feelings, but doesn’t leave her fiancé because she doesn’t want to hurt him. That implies it’s okay to hurt her best friend, but not okay to hurt the man who tells her she should get other friends because her having lesbian friends is not good for his maybe-upcoming promotion, the man who thinks it’s okay that his family – some of whom he hasn’t seen in years – comes before her friends because they’re “only lesbians”. How she can even deal with the fact that her fiancé treats her friends like that is beyond me. What is it in this man that she loves? Why does she love him?I’m with monrazz. Tina needs to ask herself if she can live without Henry, if she can imagine life without him.And also, hasn’t Tina learned by now that in life, sometimes you have to hurt people? You can’t always make everyone happy.It was also very insensitive of her to make that wedding night comment in front of Bette.This sounds like I hate Tina here, but I don’t. I simply can’t help loving her

Tina has some will power. She may be right on the first time thing but hell she seems to be wrong with everything else! I feel sorry for both of them because what they are going through ain’t easy, especially for Bette. But how can you hate Tina when she admits that she knows she’s in the wrong but is just so damned confused. Thank you for posting another chapter. I can’t wait for the next one. I am hook, line and sinker on this…
I am so hooked on this story. As always you are just amazing in your writing. I cant wait for the next chapter, and the next chapter after that!!I agree with Bette, what they did last night was cheating. Tina can try to imagine that it wasn`t, but I think she is only fooling herself. I really hate the words “I dont know” and I think Tina is using them way to much. Nobody has never come anywere with “I dont know”=). Thanks alot for the post=)
I’m so mad at the moment that I can’t see straight anymore! If I were in Bette’s shoes I would tell Tina that I would made things easier for her by making the choice for her. I would stand by her side at her wedding because that is what best friends do but that would be the last time she would see me. It maybe kills me not to see her but It kills me a thousant times more seeing the love of my life starting her life with someone else. Especially when she knows how I feel and I know that she feels the same but she is afraid of… whatever she is afraid of. FUCK! Thank you for sharing girl. As always… perfect.

i’m with monrazz..did Tina once asked if she can live without henry? because the answer is obviously NO…bette is right though, tina has to make a decision pretty soon and if he chooses henry, i think bette should move on
