Bette closed the door behind them and finally both women could relax. They were home, and they were together. Finally, the brunette had been able to fulfill her pledge to bring her girl home, and it was the sweetest feeling in the world. The tension seemed to be visibly removed from the blonde as she returned to a place where she felt completely safe.
"Thank you for bringing me home" Tina said with a soft smile.
"It’s my pleasure T. It didn’t feel like home without you"
"I never want to be away from you again"
Although it was an impossible suggestion, the brunette understood that her lover was going to need a lot of reassurance over the coming weeks, and she was the one to provide it.
"I won’t let you baby" she soothed.
"Do you think we could go and sit out by the pool? I haven’t been outside in what feels like forever"
"Of course we can. I was just gonna make a cup of tea, would you like one?"
"Yeah, that’d be great"
The blonde stood nervously in the middle of the living room as she watched her girlfriend walk towards the kitchen.
Turning back, the brunette noticed the look on her lover’s face and smiled reassuringly at her "You think you could give me a hand?"
Tina nodded gratefully and followed the brunette into the kitchen. Bette had understood that the blonde really didn’t want to be left alone, but not wanting to make her feel like she was being babied, she found her own reasons to keep them together. The blonde didn’t believe for a second that Bette needed her help, but she was grateful to her girlfriend for pretending for her sake.
Once the tea was ready they walked out into the backyard and chose the lounger in the best sunspot. The brunette sat with her back propped up and her legs apart so that Tina could sit between them and lie back against her.
"You make me feel safe" the blonde whispered.
"That’s ’cause you are baby. No-one gets to my girl without dealing with me"
"I just….I can’t believe my own family would do that to me? Aren’t families meant to protect you?"
Bette’s eyebrows raised. It was the first time she’d heard the blonde speak so openly about her abduction.

Sure hope we don’t have any more problems with any more of john’s followers. They would be carazy to attempt something like this again but, then, people like that are crazy. If the girls can afford it they should hire bodyguards for awhile especially for Tina when she’s at work and at home at night. It is a great expense but probably the only way she will feel safe for awhile. Those crazy people have taken her safety and peace of mind away and it will take a while for everything to be okay again. Just a thought. So happy for them to be back together again. Now I know this will sound like paranoia but Bette should not let another repair person on their property without fully checking out the firm and it’s employees as a precaution. But until time has passed and after the trial I think it is necessary. Who knows who else the damned idiot has convinced that they are an abomination. The update was perfection itself. Thanks for taking the time to post when you are so tired.
Hi BB, tihs was such a warm and sensitive addition. Bette really is letting Tina take the lead here. She understands that her lover is still dealing eith the trauma of the kidnapping, the abuse and attempted brainwashing by her father. He was supposed to be the person that protected her against all of these things. This is not a quick process and needs to be worked through. Bette is there stalwart and supportive. Giving her statement to Tasha helped Tina face many of her demons as well as letting Bette know exactly what had happened. This open and honest exchange is getting them both through this difficult time. The lightness of Tasha and Alice’s attraction helped relieve the darkness of Tina’s abduction. Then alone Bette and Tina took things slowly and reconnected physically without the pressure of sexual advance. An intimate and tender moment occurred. it was just what these gals needed. There will be time ahead to make hot and steamy loving. I am sure it will be some. Thank you for keeping this real and making it a most excellent and entertaining drama to read. Okay, okay, you can punish me. I only realized now that I took the pleasure of reading the chapter, but failed to comment. I wave the white flag. I loved the chapter, it fits in perfectly with your story. I know you’re like way into sex chapters, which I encourage, a lot, but with this one you’ve once again proving you’re more than that and you can write more than that. It was amazingly good and I hope you’ll update soon, if only to give me some oxygen here – work has a tendency to try and smother me, or drown me if the smothering doesn’t work out. About those months – June could be nice, as it’s around the edge of Spring and Summer, so it won’t be so hot that everbody gets the chance to see how sexy you look when you’re all sweaty. I’m sure I’ll love it as well and the accents I’ll gladly take! I love those accents over there, really. Roisin’s got a bit of it too. You’ll have to forgive me for being accentless, though – in English, that is. In Dutch I’ve got a horrible accent.
It’s a miracle that Tina is still capable of so much love after living with a family that carries so much hate. I loved this chapter.
