Alice : “So we’ve gotta play” she asked looking worried….

Bette : “Ummmm…well yeah Alice”

Alice : “Oh ok just tell me how to then”

Tina : “What you don’t know…..oh god Alice please tell me your joking”

Alice : “Sorry”

Tina : “Jezzz Al…how about you Shane”

Shane : “Mmmmm…well I’ve watched a game before”

Bette : “God damnit…..Please Dana, Kit some good news”

Dana : “Oh yeah I’ve played before”

Tina : “Thank god”

Dana : “Hey I said I’d played before I didn’t say I was any good”

Bette put her hands up on her face…and muttered “Kit”

Kit : “I’m like Shane watched but never played”

Bette : “*****”

Tina : “Ok Jenny, Mom what about you guys?”

Jenny : “Yeah I used to play in high school”

Tina : “Ok good….Mom?”

Amanda : “I’ve played volley ball…(Tina smiled)…but not since the boys were little” Tina’s smile soon went

Alice : “Well when was the last time you guys played?”

Tina : “The last time me and Bette played is when we went on that weekend away 2 years ago”

Alice : “Well that’s quite long ago”

Bette : “It’s not that long and we still know how to play…you don’t have any idea”

Sarah : “Ok ladies sometime today would be nice” she shouted over to them

Shane : “Yeah ok just coming” she shouted back

Tina : “You know if you didn’t know how to play why did you make us wanna come over here why not just let it go”

Alice : “Coz they called us losers”

Bette : “Yeah and there gonna be right”

Tina : “Ok listen up heres what you do” Tina told them quickly how to play……

Once she was done they all went and got ready to start….

Sarah : “Ok first one to 20″

Tina : “Ok easy”

The game began really badly as Sarah and the other girls got a point after a minute of play….after 15 minutes Sarah and the other girls had 10 points and the gang only had 3 points….they decided to call a time out….

Shane : “***** there gonna win”

Alice : “Yeah she’s right….god we really are losers…*****”

Bette : “Ok if you keep talking that way then we will lose”

Dana : “Hey yeah come on guys we can do this”

Tina : “Yeah Dana is right”

Kit : “Ummmm…she better be”

Amanda : “Let’s do this” they all cheered….

They went back and got ready to start the game again…as the started Shane hit the ball hard getting them another point…

Dana : “Nice one Shane….high five”

Shane : “Yeah” she smiled

The game continued with Tina getting another 2 points and Bette getting another 3…Sarah and the other girls got another 2 points and called another time out….

They all try to get their breathing back to normal….

Amanda : “Ok where do we stand”

Bette : “Well they’ve got 12 and we’ve only got 9″

Alice : “Hey well it’s better than 3 right”

Tina : “Come on ladies we can win this” they all cheered and went back to the game…..

Starting the game again Sarah hit the ball over the net Alice saw it coming towards her so she hit out…hitting the ball hard…so hard that Sarah and the other girls couldn’t stop it…so she won them another point….

Alice : “Yes” she said looking please with herself…

Dana : “Nice one Al” she gave Alice a hug…but quickly pulled away….and went back to the game…

Tina hit the ball to Bette who hit the ball over the net which ended up getting them another point….

Tina rubbed Bette’s back… “Great shoot”

Bette : “Thanks” she smiled….

They continued with the game Sarah got anothor 2 points…but soon after Jenny also got 2 points…followed by Amanda getting another one…10 minutes later and it was 19 all…so they had another quick time out….

Still not breathing well and all red in the face they were that hot…..

Tina : “Ok guys it’s 19 all” she said breathing hard…

Kit : “We can do this”

Shane : “***** yeah we can”

Bette : “Ok then lets do it” they cheered…

They re-strated the game….as Sarah hit the ball over the net…Bette hit it over to Tina who hit it hard back over the net getting them their last point winning them the game…they all started cheering, jumping around and hugging each other…even Sam, Tonya and Lenore join in….Tina gave Bette a hug…Bette was quite taking a back by it as it wasn’t just a little hug it was a very nice big one…the one’s that made Bette feel all warm inside….

Tina : “You did great”

Bette : “You to” she smiled….as Tina contined going around hugging everyone….Alice put her arm around Bette’s neck…

Alice : “You ok Porter?”

Bette was still smiling as she watched Tina…

“Yeah Alice…I’m just fine”……………….
