Xavier and Dakota now froze the notion finally dawning on them.

Dakota:  “Can’t be.  Doc?”

Dr.:  “Well it’s obvious that Angelica isn’t experiencing any mental trauma because you’re both here.  So we have to take a look at this situation.  What’s the constant in all 3 of your realities?”

They all sat and thought for a second.

Angelica/Xavier/Dakota:  “Mom.”

Dr.:  “Mom as in?”

Xavier:  “Bette.”

Dakota:  “Wait, Tina too.”

Dr.:  “Ok then now that we have the constants let’s take it from there.  It’s obvious she loves and spends time with all 3 of you.  I take it you all have different other mothers?”

They all nodded in the affirmative.

Dr.:  “And Angelica you’re the only one that has come into contact with all 3 of these women.”

She nodded again in the affirmative.

Dr.:  “So now the constant is you, Tina and Bette.  Interesting.”

Xavier:  “Is that all you can say is interesting.  My mother has been living a double life and all you have to say is interesting?!”

Dakota:  “Hey she’s my mother too.  She wouldn’t be with two women at once.”

She turned to Angelica.

Dakota:  “Would she?”

Angelica:  “Well Kote it has happened before.”

His face fell immediately.

Angelica:  “But in this situation I don’t think that’s what’s happening.”

Silence filled the room as all four of them drank in the situation.

Xavier:  “I think I know what you’re talking about Angelica.”

His two siblings looked at him in awe.

Xavier:  “And so do you Dakota.”

Dakota looked at him incredulously.

Xavier:  “You ever feel like there are large gaps in your life?  Almost like you stop existing.  You do nothing, go no where.  Bette is gone and our mothers are kind of…stagnant.  Then a couple days or weeks pass, she returns and everything starts back up again.  That’s usually when Angelica returns.”

Dr.:  “When does this occur?”

Xavier:  “I dunno.  Just when the Vibes are right I guess.”

He turns and looks at the writer.

Dakota:  “I know what you mean.  Sometimes I feel like I went from birth to toddler to now.  I just figured those years in between your not supposed to remember so I wrote them off.  Oh my God it’s happening to us all.”
