    Tonight You’re Mine – Chapter 4

    Previously…

Dana blushed and acknowledged the men and women applauding her. When the cheering subsided, she turned to Bette. “So, Bette, who is this blonde that Alice said you were smitten with?” Alice kicked Dana under the table. Dana rubbed her leg. “Geez…Alice. I have a match tomorrow.”

Alice rolled her eyes at Dana. “What she meant to ask was, where’s Tina?”

“I don’t know Alice. She said she would come looking for me.” Bette answered before taking a sip of her dirty martini.

Shane turned her attention to the doorway and noticed Tina walking with a man. “Hey guys look. Here comes Tina now and she has someone with her.”  Shane nodded her head to the doorway.

    Chapter 4

Tina, with Eric at her side, scanned the room for the tall brunette whose hair was now starting to be familiar to her.  Bette had mentioned she and her friends were heading over to the Crow’s Nest once Dana was done for the day. She scanned the room once again and finally spotted Bette’s flowing hair. She was sitting with the tennis player and the two women whom Tina had met earlier in the stands.

Bette recognized the man as the same one Tina left the theatre with the other night. “I’ll be right back.” She told her friends before effortlessly easing off the tall stool she occupied. She made her way through the crowded bar and placed her hand on the small to Tina’s back. “Hi,” she said, kissing Tina on the cheek in greeting. “You made it.”

Tina blushed from Bette’s unexpected kiss on the cheek. “Bette, hi…um. I want you to meet Eric…um…boyfriend.” Tina noticed the surprise in Bette’s eyes before it quickly disappeared.

Bette released her hand from the small of Tina’s back and extended it to Eric. “Eric, it’s nice to meet you. Bette Porter.”

“Bette Porter…you own the art gallery off Sunset. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Eric took Bette’s hand in his and shook it eagerly.

“Why don’t you join me and my friends?” Bette escorted Tina and Eric to her table. Dana and Alice were arguing over what was a better dessert apple pie or cheesecake and Shane pocketing a cocktail napkin which clearly had a phone number written on it.
