They both sat side by side on the sofa, neither one looking at the other. Dana sat with her head down, playing with her hands, nerves evidently showing. You see although she knew this conversation was why she was there, it didn’t make it any easier because it was not only Alice that had to face up to things, but her herself. She had done things to Alice she could never forgive herself for, she knew Alice’s insecurities and in all intense purposes she only made them worse. On the other side of the sofa, Alice sat with her hands in her lap staring straight ahead, her eyes glazed. Already Alice could feel the pain bubble and sit on her chest. Her throat began to constrict and she knew that if she didn’t start to speak, her tears would begin to spill out and she wouldn’t be able to control or even stop them.

"D…an..a, what,…why, I" Alice’s sentence trailed off

"Alice, I know this isn’t going to be easy for either of us, there’s things we both should’ve said, but didn’t. I know this isn’t something you want to face and I understand, it hurts, but if you are ever going to move forward and allow someone to love you, you need to face up to what happened"

"I thought I was over you Dana, I thought we made our peace when you were, you know, ill"

"Alice making peace with each other and getting over each other is two completely different things"

"No kidding…….Dana im still in love with you, even though your dead and can never be with me, im still in love with you"

"I know and Alice, I may not be physically with you, but I promise I am always with you and whether you want to believe it or not, I’m in love with you too"

"If you were so in love with me, why leave"

"Because I was scared and confused Alice, you, you changed, you became someone I didn’t know, but most of all you became insecure and nothing scared me more than that"

"But why Dana, I mean its not like your miss confident, I’ve helped you through so many of your insecurities, so why the hell did you just give up on mine"
