    What if- chapter two

She felt numb. There wasn’t a book available that she could’ve read and learned how to deal with situations like this. Bette called and left a message with Shane. Telling her that she should see Tina in her suite she’d need her. Shane asked no questions, not one to meddle in anyone’s relationship. She hung up and rushed up to Tina.

After Bette had left, she had gotten up to get dressed to catch a flight back to L.A. To whom she’d go home to, she didn’t know. But she wanted to go home, she needed to get out of this place and forget what happened here forever, at least she’d try.

There were more bruises. She found more on her neck. She looked in the mirror to put her hair up in a pony tail, not bothering to style her hair today. What the fuck? Tina thought. She gasped. If Bette saw this, she thought, Matt would be dead already. Just then she heard Shane’s voice calling her name from the door.

“It’s open, you can come in Shane.” She hadn’t locked the door; hoping Bette might’ve come back even though she doubted it.

Tina had just turned then and she saw the bruises on her neck.

“Are you okay Tina?” Shane said as she pushed the door shut, she looked to Tina, concern filled her eyes.

“Yea, I’m okay. How did you know I’d need you?” she smiled. She hoped Shane wouldn’t ask about the bruises. She’d needed to change her flight and hoped that Shane would accompany her. She didn’t’ want to be alone any longer, especially more after seeing the marks around her neck.

“Bette, she called me.” Shane looked to Tina trying to see if there were any signals that they’d fought.

Tina stood frozen. “oh.” She looked to the floor and looked to be in deep thought.

Bette wouldn’t have told Shane anything, nor would Shane ask or say anything if she had. She wasn’t worried. Tina began to cry. She held her hands up to her face and turned from Shane, ashamed.

Shane quickly stood in front of Tina and threw an arm around her shoulder carefully, avoiding her neck. They stood there until Tina’s tears subsided.

    1. reat chapter. Of course, please continuea big old bully and that needs to stop. They need to talk with a professional that can help them get to the bottom of the problem. Being a bully and making ultimatums is not the way to do this. Tina needs to speak up and now. Thanks for posting.

    2. OMG I hate this but I love it!! You are such a gifted writer. I know you’ll make this right in the end. Necessary pain to get Tina to open up and finally tell Bette what’s going on. PPS!!

    3. I honestly had no idea which story to comment on first but this one absolutely blew me away so I had to choose it. I’ve been enjoying all your posts, this one included, its so powerful. I have yet another author to get all giddy about when I see updates now, thank you !

    4. Bravo!! Table is reversed but you captured both of them as we have come to know their personalities!! I agree it is going to be messy!! But, so rewarding in the end (hopefully)!! :)
