“Okay honey, well we should be back by 6 or 7, so it’d be nice if you could cook dinner by the time we get back. You know how stressed out I am with all my wedding plans, it’s not as though you’re busy.
Look I have to go. My parents are waiting in the car for me….” Tonya gave her orders to Dana before kissing her on the cheek and heading out of the front door.

“Really, Al? Who do you think I deserve? It seems to me that I can’t hold on to anyone. Look at my track record? Kinda speaks for itself wouldn’t you say? I totally fucked up with Lara, I thought we were meant to be together, and that blew up in my face. I didn’t deserve her. She made me so happy. I never thought anyone would make me feel like she did. And then….”

Alice looked down to the floor. She could feel the blood coursing through her. When did Dana start making her feel this way? She couldn’t pinpoint the moment when her feelings toward her had escalated from being just a friend to her wanting her a lover. She was all Alice ever thought about these days. First thing in the morning and last thing at night. Dana was on Alice’s mind and in her heart all of the time.

Perhaps it was about time she told Dana how she feeling? She can’t let her go ahead and marry Tonya without laying out her cards on the table. Even if Dana didn’t feel the same way, she would know she at least tried.

“Alice? Are you okay? You seem miles away?”

“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you Dane. That night when I showed up at 4am? It wasn’t a stunt or a trick. When I kissed you, I wanted to, for me. I’d like to say I’m sorry for messing with your head, but I’d be lying. I’m not sorry, for anything. I love you and I think you love me too. I’d like to know if you would consider giving us a chance? I know we’re best friends and all, but, I need you so much. I want you by my side every day. You’re all I want Dana.”
Alice’s eyes filled with tears as she finished her sentence. Her eyes darting back and forth between the grey carpet and Dana’s beautiful blue eyes. Just looking into her eyes made Alice’s knees feel very weak.

“Al…. Come here…”

Dana pulled Alice toward her and the two began kissing fiercely. Dana’s hands cupping Alice’s face, lips kissing rapidly. Alice’s placed her hands on Dana’s waist before sliding one of her hands up her back. The touch of Dana’s skin made her tingle in the most private of places. Alice pulled away from the kiss and looked into Dana’s eyes “Who do you want, Dana?”
