"Where is Bette?" My mom asked me as we arrived at the restaurant.

"She left her office 10 minutes ago. She’ll be arriving soon." I said as we procedeed to our table.

After 20 minutes Bette is still nowhere to be found.. I was beginning to get worried when my mom just saw her walk in.

"Bette’s here." My mom said as I looked at mother’s line of vision.

"Did she have to bring the flowers?!" I thought to myself as I saw Bette holding the flowers I gave her earlier.

"I’m sorry I’m late," she said as she kissed my mom and me. "my car broke down and I have to get a cab to get here." She finished as she sat on the chair next to mine.

"You could have called me, we could have picked you up from your office." I said as I look at her placing the flowers on the side of the table.

"Bab–" she started but luckily she stopped before she finished saying the word ‘baby’.

"I hope my mother didn’t catch up on that." I said to myself.

"It’s okay Tina." Bette said as she blushed a little. "The office was not that far from here."

"Nice flowers." My mom said.

"Oh.. Somebody gave them to me earlier." My baby said. Once again her face blushed a little.

"Mind if I read the card?" My mom asked Bette.

"No. Go ahead." Bette said as my mom reached for the card.

"I’m sorry." My mom read the card. "Did this person broke your heart?"

"Not really." Bette answered.

"But you’ve forgiven this person?" Mom continued to ask.

"Yeah.. I did." Bette answered.

"Something tells me that you love this person." Mom said as she looked at Bette. "Am I right?"

"Uh huh.." Bette answered as she reached for my hand under the table. "I am so in love with this person." Bette finished as she reached under the table and gave my hand a light squeeze.

"I don’t care if she can tell by the way I look at her daughter.. I don’t care if Tina will be mad at me.. I just want her to know that I am in love." I said to myself as I reached for my girlfriend’s hand under the table.
