Tina’s Side

"What time are you getting off from work?" I asked Bette who’s on the other line.
"Same time. Why?" Bette asked. "You miss me already?"
"Yeah!" I started. "And my mother misses you too." I said sarcastically. "We’re going to have dinner with her."
"You called her?!" Bette exclaimed. "You called your mother!"
"You don’t have to shout." I said.
"I’m just.." Bette paused. "..happy that you called her."
"I can’t believe I called her." I confessed to Bette. "But last night this wonderful woman made me think that I should at least treat my mother with some respect qnd courtesy."
"Was that woman me?" Bette asked and I can picture her smirking on the other line.
"We’re you lying naked in my bed?" I initialy asked Bette. "And were you inside me just a couple of hours ago?" I asked Bette again and I heard her chuckle a little. "If that’s you then you are that woman."
"That’s definitely me." Bette said. "I hope that’s me." Bette laughed.
"That’s you baby. I know that fingers of yours very much." I said. "Anyway.." I said as I started to forgot why I called Bette. "What time are you available?"
"I have a meeting later but I think it’ll be done before eight." Bette informed me.
"Is eight-thirty okay?" I asked Bette.
"That’s fine." Bette simply said.
"Can I pick you up?" I asked Bette.
"Baby, don’t hide from you mother." Bette said as she must have guessed why I asked to pick her up. "If you happen to arrive earlier than me and your mother is already there, talk to her." Bette said.
"I don’t think I can without shouting at her or being angry with her." I told Bette.
"Then expect me to be there on time so you won’t have to be with her by yourself." Bette told me. "Okay?"
I took a deep breathe before responding to Bette. "Okay. Just promise me that you won’t be late."
"I promise." Bette said.
"Are you not mad at her?" I asked Bette.
"Not like before." Bette told me.
"How could you forgive her that fast? I’m her daughter and I can’t find it in my heart to forgive her." I told Bette.
"Because she’s your mother and you love her and you trusted her." Bette said. "You were told to believe that she supports and accepts us but when you found out the truth, you were so hurt because she took away the love of your life." Bette said seriously. "Because you love me so much that whoever gets in our way will not be forgiven that easy." Bette playfully said. "That’s the reason. You’re so in love with me. If you don’t love me that much you wouldn’t care." Bette said proudly.

Wow, that was a big step that Tina’s mom took. That does not happen too often. It would be nice if Tina could forgive her mother in time and allow her back into her and Bette’s life.

Wow Tina’s mom sees the error of her ways. I know she wanted what she thought was best for Tina and she loves her very much, but I’m sure she can now see that Bette would do anything for her and loves her more than life itself. PPS
