Tina was thrown off by the crying.

“Bette- why are you crying?”

“Tina I need to talk to you.”

Alice looked at Tina- “why don’t we just put her in bed and you guys can talk in the morning.”

Tina looked concerned, but agreed. They carried Bette into the bedroom and Tina undressed her and put her in bed. Bette just kept sobbing and saying sorry.
Finally Bette laid her head on her pillow and passed out quickly. Tina followed Alice and Tasha back out to the living room.

“Al- what the hell happen?”

“I don’t really know T- I just know she was drunk and needed to come home. Just talk to her in the morning”

“I feel like something happened that you aren’t telling me about?…Did you see Kelly there?”

“T- you know I love you, and always promise to tell you the truth, but this is between you and Bette and i think it should remain that way.”

Now Tina knew for sure something happen.

“I respect that Al- I just wish she wasn’t so fucking drunk so I could talk to her now. I don’t even want to get in bed with her.”

“Tina just try and get some rest and talk to her in the morning ok?”

“Easier said than done- thanks for bringing her home Al and Tasha.”

“Of coarse- call me tomorrow”

Tina walked the girls out and paced around the house not knowing what to do. She was mad, but she still wasn’t really sure why. Yes Bette had ignored her dinner, but it was more than that. She hated the way Bette was around Kelly. And now she was thinking the worst. Bette should have come home with her, but she choose Kelly and that pissed her off.

Tina went out the back yard- the place that according to Bette always relaxed her. She found the new Tina enjoyed it as well. She laid on the pillow bed outside and thought about her life or what she could remember of it. She and Bette were in such a good place and then it all turned to shit. She hated how quickly things could fall apart. She realized that it must have to do with her memory loss- she hoped that she wouldn’t be so insecure otherwise.

Tina fell asleep on the pillow bed outside. At sunrise Bette stirred and reached over for Tina. When she didn’t feel her she tried to open her eyes, but it was as if they were melted shut. She tried again and he head began to pound.

“Fuck” Bette was dying in pain. “What the fuck did I do?”

Bette tried to remember the night’s events and all the sudden the image of Kelly kissing her flooded her mind.

“Oh shit!!” Bette jumped up and was in a panic that Tina was nowhere to be found. She looked all around the house and finally decided to call Alice.

“Hello?” A groggy Alice answered.

“Alice0-where’s Tina- what happened last night?”

“We dropped you off at home. You passed out. I have no idea where Tina is. It’s 5am Bette”

“I’m sorry- I just didn’t know if I told Tina about Kelly last night.”

“I don’t think you did. You were out cold. Go find Tina and do the right thing.”
“Ok- thank Al.”

Bette walked to the front door and saw that Tina’s car was still there. She went out into the backyard and it saw lying peacefully on the pillow bed in the back yard. Bette quietly walked over and looked down at Tina. Her mind wandered- she couldn’t believe how beautiful Tina was. All these year later after they had met and she was more beautiful now. Bette wondered how she would explain to Tina what happened and if Tina would believe her! For now she just watched her love sleep- hopefully they would get through this next difficult obstacle in their life.
