Marie: They sure are a strange corky couple.

Joanna: For sure and Bette’s mouth is going to get her in more hot water soon enough.

Marie: Yea but Tina seems to understand her and Bette seems to understand our Lucille.

Joanna watching Bette and Tina: Yes, I hate to admit it but their….

Marie finishing Joanna’s sentence: Beautifully matched?

Joanna: Yes. Looking at them reminds me of our old song.

    Marie: What? No Other Love.

Joanna nods and holds Marie close to her and kisses her forehead and attempts to do her rendition of the melody.

Bette and Tina stayed outside for a bit more enjoying the sun. Tina parents’ have a nice size back yard and Tina and Bette walked the length holding hands. Tina points out the creek near the woods and they began walk toward it. They walked down to the creek and crossed an old bridge. They kiss after crossing the bridge. They look at each other and smile. Their smiles are so big as if only meeting each other a while ago. They continue to walk hand in hand communicating without words for a while.

    Later while walking

Bette: So are you coming to terms with what has happened?

Tina looked down: Well it’s a lot to take in. I mean I thought I knew my parents but obviously they have lived in one world and I have lived in another.

Bette: But Tina are your parents really that differently than what you thought? Are their personalities not the same?

Tina: It is not about their personalities B. It is about them setting up an illusion of their life. It’s like they had this other world all to themselves and everyone else was left out including their own child. I feel abandoned by them.

Bette momentarily felt stunned. She was in shock that Tina called her B for the first time.

Bette pulled at Tina’s hand to get Tina to look into her eyes.

Bette: Tee I can not say that I understand what your going through but know that I will never abandon you. You are my home.

Tina rubbed Bette’s face and then peppered her face with small kisses.
