    Author Notes:

    Progress on the show is made and we’re introduced to Tina Kennard, the “it” girl of Hollywood.

    “But Ricky,” Alice whined.

    “Now, now…don’t act like that act.  Uh, Lucy, who exactly are these gorgeous women?”

    “Oh, nobody, Ricky.”

      “Lucy, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!” Dana said in the perfect accent and mannerisms of Ricky Ricardo.

    Bette and Shane had been laughing the whole time watching the two lovebirds re-enact one of their favorite shows.  After they’d finished their performance they took a bow then burst into laughter along with Bette and Shane.

    “Geez, Dana, you’re like the female version of him,” Shane said laughing.

    “Yeah, too bad you don’t act because we could use you on the show,” Bette said through her tears of laughter.

    Once everyone processed Bette’s words, they all became silent and stared at one another.  Shane finally broke the silence…

    “So, what do you say, Dana?  Wanna put those skills to use on a TV show?”

    And with that coincidental casting, the search for the remaining actors was only down to two.

    They were surprised to see the famous British actress, Helena Peabody, walk into the room because, well frankly, they hadn’t thought of making that character British, but when they saw her and saw how naturally she played the part—they knew she was the one for that role.

    Bette gave an approving nod after thinking back to the recent castings.  But now Bette’s temporary distraction was over, and her attention and annoyance now returned to the fifteen minute late actress; which didn’t sit well with Bette who was a stickler for promptness.  Miss Tina Kennard, the current “it” girl of Hollywood was auditioning for the part as Bette’s partner.  Bette was thrilled when the big time movie star showed interest in the television show she had created.  She was very excited at the prospect of having such a big star on her show. 

    But then doubt started to slip into her mind and she began questioning why the beautiful blonde wanted anything to do with a television show that could possibly end her career.  It had been rumored that Tina might be gay or bisexual, but at the moment she had the current Hollywood hunk as her boyfriend so the rumors seemed to disappear.  Bette thought that maybe that’s why Tina had an interest in her show—that Tina was interested in finding out her real sexuality.  However, at the current moment, she didn’t care why Tina wanted to be on the show, she just wanted her to show up for her audition.

    7. “TBC?” -> As if we’d let you NOT carry it on! I am really liking this story. Especially having Bette feel so negatively toward Tina beforehand :) Excellent! It’s looking good, Kirby.. Keep on :) And soon pleeeeease. Angel Dx

    13. Their is no option but to continue, and as soon as you can. I’m getting so excited about the first meeting. I just know that once our Ms.Porter sees one Ms. Kennard, her irritation at Tina’s lateness will quickly disappear. As for chemistry for the part, like we don’t know.
