    Tina takes a bold step toward happiness and winds up on her behind.

                                                                                         Chapter 5

    Rock Bottom

     

     For the next two weeks, Bette kept herself busy with the preparations for the opening of her new gallery.  She knew that it was a bribe from Peggy to lure her back home but she had been ready to return for some time after her ugly break-up with Jody.  They gallery was just icing on the cake.  She promised that she would pay Peggy back with her earnings from the gallery but of course the older woman would not hear of it.  She told Bette to consider it a late graduation present. 

     

    Tina had come to the house on several occasions to see Helena and was always disappointed that Bette was never home.  Helena had apologized for her behavior on the night of the party and the camping trip but since Bette’s return things were worse than ever. Every time she drank, Helena continued to accuse her of crushing on Bette and every little thing seemed to tick her off lately.  She was becoming more and more impossible to be around and her drinking was becoming a more frequent problem.  Tina had a real problem on her hands and she knew there was only one person she could talk to about it.

     

    She walked into the house and waited in the kitchen for Ruth to let Peggy know she was there to see her. She was busy into the paperwork she needed to go over before she went to the studio and didn’t even notice the brunette walk in. Bette stopped in her tracks. Tina sat in her charcoal grey suit with her legs crossed. She wore a tight pencil skirt and crisp white shirt. She had black stilettos on and the sight made Bette walk right into the corner of the table.

     

    “Owww, shit!” Tina looked up to see Bette holding her hip.

     

    “Bette. Are you ok?” Tina looked at her in her running clothes. Her hair was up in a loose pony tail, and her attire was skin tight. Her body was incredible. The definition of her shoulder and arm muscles had her in a slight trance and she snapped herself out of it hoping the brunette hadn’t noticed.

     

    “Yeah. I uh, guess I didn’t see the table. How’ve you been?”

    1. Wow!! loads happened on the chapy lol. I love seeing Peggy, Bette and Helena as a family. You always have in a family somebody like Helena lol. But I know that with the support of her mother and her sister, Helena will become a better person. I considere peggy as Bette mother so now that Peggy is going with Helena, Bette is the one to take care of business. after all she is her mother daughter.Bette you just got your mother blessing about Tina so make your lovely move now pmsl. Hey JB, That was awesome.It was good to have Tina go to Peggy to explain everything that was goning on especially as it concern her daugther, Helena.You also showed what a shrewd bird Peggy is. She dealt with Helena perfectly. As well as keeping Bette out of it initially and then apologizing later for apparently dismissing her. Then her parting comment shown her instinct for love and attraction.I think Peggy has accepted Tina into her family and can see the visile attraction between Bette and Tina. Now is the time to get them together and reap the benefits of having people you trust in a loving and long term relationship.What a impact Helena made when she hit rock bottom. This shocked her and prompted her to admit that she needed help. Now she is ready to accept it.Bette rush into the room was priceless as was her concern for Tina and hatred towards Helena. If looks could kill I’m sure H would be six feet under by now.More please as I want to read want happens next.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    4. You have got to love Peggy. She stood up to Helena but in a loving manner and she also let Bette know that she knows how Bette and Tina feel about each other.

    6. Wow, I love Peggy. She’s a very take charge person with a good heart. I’m really glad Helena is going to get the help she needs and that Tina has made it clear to her that their relationship as a couple is over. Hopefully they can still remain friends because Tina is like part of the family and hopefully….she’s going to be with Bette :)

    17. Wow, what a chapter. Your AN made me a bit afraid for Tina not knowing what that meant. I’m glad Helena made an ass of herself in front of her mother so that she could see just how far she had fallen from decency when she drinks. And Yea!!!!!!! Bette’s going to take care of Tina.
