“Good, fine. Uh, are you going for a run?”
You could cut the tension in the room with a knife.
“Yeah, I was just going to make some phone calls and then head out. You look so…uh, you look like you’re going to work.”
“Yes, I am actually but I came by to talk to Peggy about some stuff before I went. I heard you’re getting the gallery ready. How’s that going?”
“It’s good; a lot of work, but good.”
“I can’t wait to see it.” Bette had walked closer and they were now staring at one another. It was like moths to a flame; they couldn’t help themselves.
“I’d like for you to come to the opening.”
“Well, I’ll consider that an invitation. I’d love to be there.” Bette smiled and took a few steps back, feeling herself starting to lose control over her feelings. She walked to the refrigerator to retrieve a bottle of water. Tina watched her and smiled as well, knowing that Bette was trying to keep herself from crossing the line again. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before speaking.
“Bette, I know you’re really busy with your preparations and everything, but I was hoping we could have lunch or dinner one night. I’d like to talk to you about something important.”
Bette closed the refrigerator and turned around. “Uh, sure T. I’m never too busy for you. Is there something wrong?”
“No. I just have some things I want to talk to you about. It might take a little while.”
“Oh, ok. Yeah, um how about tomorrow night?” Bette was busy all week but she knew she wouldn’t survive wondering what Tina wanted to talk about until the weekend.”
Before Tina could answer, Ruth entered the kitchen and told Tina that Peggy was ready for her.
Tina smiled before leaving and tried to walk as confidently as she could. She was a few inches taller than Bette in her heels. “I’ll see you tomorrow night then. Have a good run.”
Bette watched her walk out. The tightness of the skirt provided an excellent view of Tina’s behind and she hoped she wouldn’t turn around to catch her looking. But she did.

Wow!! loads happened on the chapy lol. I love seeing Peggy, Bette and Helena as a family. You always have in a family somebody like Helena lol. But I know that with the support of her mother and her sister, Helena will become a better person. I considere peggy as Bette mother so now that Peggy is going with Helena, Bette is the one to take care of business. after all she is her mother daughter.Bette you just got your mother blessing about Tina so make your lovely move now pmsl. Hey JB, That was awesome.It was good to have Tina go to Peggy to explain everything that was goning on especially as it concern her daugther, Helena.You also showed what a shrewd bird Peggy is. She dealt with Helena perfectly. As well as keeping Bette out of it initially and then apologizing later for apparently dismissing her. Then her parting comment shown her instinct for love and attraction.I think Peggy has accepted Tina into her family and can see the visile attraction between Bette and Tina. Now is the time to get them together and reap the benefits of having people you trust in a loving and long term relationship.What a impact Helena made when she hit rock bottom. This shocked her and prompted her to admit that she needed help. Now she is ready to accept it.Bette rush into the room was priceless as was her concern for Tina and hatred towards Helena. If looks could kill I’m sure H would be six feet under by now.More please as I want to read want happens next.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
You have got to love Peggy. She stood up to Helena but in a loving manner and she also let Bette know that she knows how Bette and Tina feel about each other.

Wow, I love Peggy. She’s a very take charge person with a good heart. I’m really glad Helena is going to get the help she needs and that Tina has made it clear to her that their relationship as a couple is over. Hopefully they can still remain friends because Tina is like part of the family and hopefully….she’s going to be with Bette :)

Wow, what a chapter. Your AN made me a bit afraid for Tina not knowing what that meant. I’m glad Helena made an ass of herself in front of her mother so that she could see just how far she had fallen from decency when she drinks. And Yea!!!!!!! Bette’s going to take care of Tina.
