God’s Gift- Pt 50
Chapter 50
“It hurts mommy.” Seth cried.
“I know sweetie but you have to try.” Gina was at the hospital with Seth for his physiotherapy. He was released from the hospital about a month ago. He was recovering very quickly. Although he cannot walk on his own yet, the doctors are more than confident that he will recover from this fully. Gina and Angelica took turns taking him to his sessions, and if they cannot make it either one of his grandparents would take him. “Hold on to my waist put your weight on me.”
Seth held on for dear life onto his mother. He didn’t have the confidence to stand on his own yet. His legs were still weak and he could barely stand. “Hold on tight ok momma.”
“Don’t worry son, I wont drop you, I promise.”
Gina and Seth spent another hour at the hospital. He got a lot done today and he isn’t in as much pain. On the way home they stopped to get something for dinner. Gabrielle had swimming and she and Angelica wouldn’t be home till later that evening. When they got home Gina decided to start dinner. Seth sat in his wheelchair watching his mother while she cooked. He helped her with the simple things, getting stuff from the lower cupboards. He always had a love for cooking. Bette always said that if they didn’t know better they would think that Gina was his biological mother and Angelica was Gabrielle’s. Gabrielle got her love for sport and music from Angelica and Seth got his love for cooking and gardening from Gina. Gabrielle and Seth are close. They were both exposed to the same things growing up. Gabrielle was more rebellious and Seth enjoyed reading and the quiet stuff. He was far advanced for his age. Sometimes they forget that he is only eight.
“Seth be careful honey.” Gina said as she saw her son straining with two pots.
“I can do it mommy. It’s not that heavy.”
“You sure.”
“Sure.” Gina watched Seth carefully as he manoeuvred with pots, balancing one on his lap and the other on the handle of his wheelchair. He got to the stove and put one on it and the other on the counter. “See mom, easy as pie.”

I really like this story I’m glad to see you’re back. Keep up the good work. Post when you can. I’ll still be reading.
BnTFan,Doing a little dance around the office. Yes, folk are lookin’ but I’m not carin’. Yes, yes, yes, YES! It is brilliant to have you back in the fold and on the site. I have missed this story. I love the characters and the playfulness and innocent that they embody. LIfe is in the details and the normal routine of life. And this is what you capture so well in this story. The simple pleasure of spending time with your kids is the best thing that you can do with them. This provides the knowledge and understanding between parent and child. Can’t wait to see where this journey leads. I will be waiting for your next post. Thank you for coming back to this terrific tale. Your Loyal Fan
