Gods Gift- Pt 51
Chapter 51
During the last few years a lot has happened to Kennard-Porter and the Kenter-Raffe household. Aiden finally found love and is now happily married with a three year old daughter, Elizabeth Anne. Seth and Gabrielle are now sixteen years old. Seth, however was skipped a grade and is a senior in high school and is doing well. About a year and a half ago, Bette lost her battle with cancer. Tina hasnt been herself since then. Her grief for her wife has landed her in the hospital twice since then. Angelica and Gina had decided to have her move in with them. They believed that their five month old grandson Zachary could be the best therapy for her and that planned worked.
Gabrielle and Marcus grew from young childhood sweethearts to young adults and young parents. Five months ago Gabrielle gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. It was expected that their parents would be against the pregnancy, however they supported the young couple. Marcus has been working after school and has never shirked his responsibility as a father and while Gabrielle was home form school the last month of the pregnancy she was home schooled. Tristan and Renee finally gave up after ten years of trying to have a baby and adopted two young teen boys from the shelter Renee volunteered with.
It started as the typical Friday night. Marcus came by after work to spend time with his family, either Gina brought dinner giving Seth a rest from cooking for the night. Tina would normally go in early after dinner and cleaning up, but tonight was different. Seth and Tina were in the kitchen washing up after dinner. They were talking mainly about cooking and gardening and stuff of the past. Gina walked in in the middle of the conversation.
Hey mom dont go giving out all our secrets now. Gina joked as she walked in the kitchen.
Im just telling him the truth. Tina defended.
Oh God should I be worried?
Mom, did you and mama really elope in college?
You told him we eloped? Gina asked Tina, surprised that she would have that conversation with her son.
Gotcha. Seth joked. Realising that there might be some truth in his statement he continued. But while we are on the subject,

You know I have always loved this story of yours. This one was bittersweet with Bette no longer there, but I was glad to follow the progression.
It was great to look into the future of the Kennard=Porter family.Sad that Bette wasnt there to enjoy it. thanks
