    Interesting Curves 8 (formerly Untitled)

The two women were so lost in each other that neither realized that Eric had entered through the back door.

His screaming “What the hell!” as he entered the living room did get their attention.

“Fuck!” Tina said, jumping off the couch, crossing her arms to cover her bare chest.

“Tina!” Eric stood near the living room, hands clenched at his sides, eyes boring into the blonde. Then he turned his vitriol on Bette. “What the hell are you doing with my fiancée?”

Forcing herself to remain calm, Bette remained on the couch. Her suit was rumpled, and she calmly worked to close the buttons of her blouse as she kept her eyes locked with Eric’s.

“Dammit, Porter! I asked a question.”

“Eric!” Tina’s exclamation got both of their attention. “Leave.”

He squared his stance and clenched his fists, making it clear he had no intention of leaving.

Frustrated, Tina shot Bette a quick look. “Wait for me?”

Unsure what she had just found herself a part of, Bette found that she had an inherent trust for Tina and a willingness to care for the other woman. She gave a quick nod in response.

With that, Tina turned on her heel and headed back towards the bedroom.

After watching Tina exit the room, Eric turned back to Bette. “I knew you were a lesbo slut,” he growled. “But did you have to go after my fiancée?”

Again, Bette remained quietly seated, her composure in place.

    “I’m talking to you, Porter.”

‘No, you’re yelling at me,’ she thought. He was angry, but not violent. She took care to not provoke him.

“Fuck,” he muttered, and headed back in the direction that Tina had gone.

Left alone, Bette glanced back towards the bedroom. She heard voices. So far Eric had been angry, he hadn’t been violent, so she remained in the living room. Mindful of her promise to Tina, Bette waited. As she did, she picked up the now melted ice cream and the spoons, disposing of the remains in the kitchen.

Back in the bedroom, Tina had put on a new shirt and was stuffing a few things into an overnight bag.

    “Tina?”

“Please leave, Eric.” She said as she continued packing.

    “You owe me an explanation.”

    “No, I don’t.”

“Dammit Tina,” his voice rose with his anger. “We’re engaged.”

To this, Tina looked sad. “I said ‘no.’”

“That’s just because I caught you by surprise.”

“No, Eric. It’s over. We’re over.” She emphasized the statement by zipping closed the bag.

“Tina.” Almost a whine. “If you wanted to experiment with women, we could have done that. Me and you. I’d let you.”

    “You’d let me?”

“Fuck,” he said under his breath. “That’s not what I meant.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t say something earlier. I can’t explain it. But Eric, there is no ‘us.’ It’s over.”

“So you make yourself easy prey for someone like Porter?”

Tina turned towards Eric. “I invited her over,” she hissed. “And now, we’re leaving.”

Portraying a confidence she didn’t feel, Tina stormed from the room.

In the living room, Bette’s eyes softened as she saw Tina approaching.

“Can you get me out of here?” Tina asked.

“Sure.” Bette looked back to the bedroom. “What about?”

Tina rolled her eyes. “Leave him. I’ll call maintenance. Have them change the locks.”

That settled, the two women headed to Bette’s car.

(and drove off into the sunset? or do you want more?)

    Comments

    1. You know we want more. Now, on to you and JKS. Do you have any influence over each other? Are you the same person? Is there something we could do to get you both to post more frequently?

    2. “We’re engaged.” — To this, Tina looked sad. “I said ‘no.'” — “That’s just because I caught you by surprise.” – great scene – and more is fine by us!

    3. Pseud, you tease…of course we want more…and soon if we can get it. I can’t believe Bette did as she was asked by Tina and didn’t say something to Eric. Great chapter Pseud…more, more, more please.

    4. Never a sunset, at least not until they live happily ever after. BTW – Tina was remarkably composed. You handled the ice cream and Eric in this chapter. I want to know what comes next. Thanks!

    5. ok ive just read all the chapters from the beginnning to here.I like it…Eric i think that you should f*ck off theres nothing worse than someone who whines and dont give them space. But poor Eric at the same time cus they have just broken up

    6. Hmm, do I want more…. wow that question requires a lot of deep thought…. Why settle for less pseud when we can have more? More is good, except when less is more, but in your case less is never more, more is never enough!

    7. Hello Pseud, Please don’t stop there. I need more of this delightful tale to lighten the dark ngihts as they start to close in. I want to find out more about this beginning. It hasn’t been a smooth ride so far as Bette and Tina deal with these obstacles. I need my fix of your wonderful words and entertaining escapes. More please… You are such a great writer that it would be a shame to stop here. Can’t wait for your next chappie. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    8. More. How stupid of Eric to think Tina doesn’t know her own mind and believe she said no just because she was surprised, and that I would have let you experiment comment what was he thinking. That is something you say to a servent not someone you supposidly love. PPS

    9. Hey P, Thanks for the dedication! It sometimes takes me a while to comment – especially this summer, but I’m always reading whatever you write. I do hope this story continues – there’s more to mine especially after that confrontation. Thanks for taking the time…
