"I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t love me anymore look at me…..laying here like a burst couch. Two casts on my legs, hair missing, a scar for life on my head and listen to me I can’t even talk properly……"This time Alice was cut off by Dana.

"Your here, your alive and I love you no matter what……I honestly mean that….I love you so fucking much…and I’m not going anywhere…so get that out of your mind right now!" Dana said this with conviction. Alice looked right into her eyes and knew that what she had just said she meant every word of it, she could see the love that Dana had for her deep in her eyes. Alice reached up and pressed the buzzer and Michelle came in.

"Would it be ok to move me over a bit and for Dana to spend the night here, with me?" Alice asked. Michelle gave her a look.

"I’m sure it would be no trouble since it is a private room you would be putting anyone out really. But only on one condition….no hanky panky, you need all the rest you can get and that wouldn’t do you any good…..well the doctor says but what does he know…but serious no funny stuff ok?" Michelle asked and waited for an answer out of both girls. They both agreed not that they would be able to get up to anything in that bed with Alice’s legs in cast’s and her collarbone broken. Michelle helped Alice scoot along the bed and went and got an extra pillow and blanket for Dana.

"Thank you Michelle, can I ask you a personal question?” Alice asked.

"Erm…well I suppose." Michelle said

"Do you like girls? Like I was trying to figure out if you bat for our team or what but I can’t seem to figure it out which is weird cause I usually have great gaydar, must be the head injury?" Alice rambled away. Dana was in fits of laughter at the forwardness of Alice but she was also embarrassed by it. But she couldn’t help but laugh.

"I prefer not to label myself or others." Michelle said and walked out the room she closed the door then opened it back up "I will be off at 10 but remember no hanky panky" and she shut the door giggling to herself.

"I can’t believe you just asked that." Dana said.

"Shut up and come lie beside me and hold me, I just want you to hold me." Alice said sleepily. Dana climbed up on the bed on the opposite side of the broken collar bone so she wasn’t hurting Alice at all. She pulled the blanket over the both of them after whispering a few sweet nothings in Al’s ear, the couple fell asleep together in the same bed for the first time since the accident happened.
