I was jolted from my sleep by hard slap to the back and a stern voice calling out, "Bette!"

I sat up in bed groggily and immediately blushed noticing I was topless. I looked to the side at the figure of my sleeping gold digging ex girlfriend beside me then I looked over to one of my two best friends who was standing there with her arms crossed across her chest.

"Hey Helena," I said shamefully.

"What the hell Bette? You said you were staying away from that needy bitch!" Helena said firmly.

"I can’t help it! I’m pathetic!" I cried dropping my head into my hands.

"As much as I like your tits, I don’t wanna see them!" Angus called from the other room throwing a shirt at me. I chuckled and blushed as I put the shirt on.

Angus had trained me to fight until I surpassed him in strength and speed, then he provided me with a home and constant support. He was like my brother. Helena had gone through the same process, as well as Dana, except Helena was too much of a player to live with us and Dana got married to Alice and had a son with her. They adopted him at the age of 6 when Buckley’s red ribbon army of androids attacked.

We were teenagers at the time, but the three of us, Angus, and our brainy but weak friend Jenny took them down. Angus being weaker took down the initial defenses, Jenny took down the entire security system with her super intelligence, and Dana, Helena, and I took down the army and placed Buckley in jail.

There was only one android left, and little boy who had not been finished. He still had his humanity. Dana fell in love with the 6 year old and took him home to Alice, who was her girlfriend at the time. Yeah I know, we were teenagers but it’s not like we had any parents to guide us. Only Jenny and Alice had parents and they stayed out of our lives as much as possible.

Dana and Alice raised the boy, whom they named Tim after Jenny’s ex who died in one of our missions. Jenny rebounded off of Helena who fell so hard for our scientist friend, I was left to pick up the pieces when the pompous jerk Shane showed up and swept her away.
