    —————————————————————————————————————————–

Peggy Peabody’s coming over, and Bette had done her best to make a good impression. The preparation actually took them months, and they owe it all to Bette’s obsessive-compulsive nature. She’s been working for the CAC for five months now and has no doubt that the great Bette Porter would clinch the deal easily with her charm, after all, no one dared resist her, no one could. She’s Bette—smart, beautiful, confident, sexy, and successful.  But she’s only Tina, a Southern gal who moved to L.A. wanting to have life’s best adventure.  Before she settles down and move back in her old town, she wanted to know what it’s like to live a carefree life..until now.

Tina had no idea how it all started.  Bette has always been too professional and straightforward when it comes to work. Every time she screws up, Bette could be mean and sometimes insulting.  But that’s all part of the job. She could never hate Bette. Even at her meanest, you just can’t help but admire her.  At her best, you’ll just fall for her even more, whether you’re gay, straight, a man or a woman.

The time Bette called her “T” was such a delight. Bette was so happy then that Tina was able to set a meeting with Peggy and got past her security while staying in L.A. After that, working with Bette went so smoothly.  She even became close to Alice, Bette’s dear friend who was rumored to be her ex-girlfriend. Tina envied that idea before she admitted to herself that she had a crush on Bette. Ironically, it was Alice who introduced her to such a crazy idea during one of one Bette’s artist talk at the CAC.

“You know Tina, the way you look at Bette/”

“What?” Tina was caught off guard.

“I could have sensed that you have a thing for her, but then you’re straight, so I’ll give you a benefit of my doubt.”

    “It’s crazy!”

“It is. Anything with Bette is crazy. Trust me, I know.” Alice winked at Tina.

“So it’s true that…”Tina didn’t finish her sentence.

“Yeah. The rumor’s true. But then I’m glad we became friends. And…one more thing….it’s not everyday that I give people the benefit of my doubt.”

Tina smiling…“Hmm..I must be lucky to be one of the chosen few.  I’m really honored Alice.”

“I must really like you, Tina. Well…it’s not like I’m hitting on you, though you’re cute. There’s just some good vibes about you.

“Well, thank you. I like you, too, Alice.”

“We can do something more with your look, though. You need to look more city-sleek.  That would be so hot!  You don’t have to hide behind those mediocre clothes.

    “I’ll think about that.”

“That is, if you want both men and women to notice you. You have the potential of being drop-dead gorgeous, you know.” Alice offered a warm smile.
