    Reckless Life-Chapter 8

(Tina woke up the next morning to Bette stroking her face softly and tenderly.)

    Bette: Good morning, sleepyhead.

    Tina (yawning): Good morning, babe.

Bette (stroking Tina’s jaw line): How did you sleep?

Tina (kissing Bette’s fingers): Perfect since you were spooning next to me.

Bette: I love sleeping with you, it feels so wonderful.

Tina: I love sleeping with you as well; you are perfect to snuggle with.

Bette: It’s 7:45 am and we need to get up and get ready, baby.

Tina: Can we just get in the shower and have breakfast at the Planet?

Bette: Sure why not and I would love to take my time to wash that fine body of yours!

Tina (pulling the covers back and getting up from the bed): Well, come and get me, sexy! (Tina dashed to the restroom and Bette bolted after her and grabbing her by the waist.)

Bette (biting Tina on the ear): You can’t get away from me!

Tina (giggling): Already having breakfast I see?

Bette: You don’t know the half of it; now get inside of the shower!

(After making love in the shower and cleaning up, Bette and Tina got dressed and went to the Planet for breakfast and to visit Kit, who was on the market again after a three an a half year disastrous relationship with Angus.)

Kit (serving Bette and Tina their coffee and breakfast and then sitting down with them): So, what are two up to this morning?

Tina: We are going to see our therapist this morning around ten o’clock.

    Kit: Is everything alright?

Bette: Tina had a meltdown and there was a little incident at the Sunset Strip.

Kit: Tina, don’t tell me that you did….

Tina (sighed): Don’t worry, Alice and Bette got there in time to stop me from doing it.

Kit: Well, I know what addiction is like and I hope things get better for you two.

Bette (smiling at Kit): Thanks Kit. How are you doing?

Kit: Ah, could be better. It’s an every day struggle with me and alcohol, plus not having a man in my life anymore.

Bette: You do realize that you don’t need a man in your life to make yourself happy; you can make yourself happy if you wanted to.

    1. I am glad that they went to the therapist appointment. Sometimes it is so easy to not go. Tina is taking the steps to get better and to be a better wife to Bette and a better mother to Angelica.
