Barbara: What are you getting out of this?

Tina: Absolutely fucking nothing, that’s the thing! But something keeps me from completely enjoying what I have with Bette.

Barbara: Which is guilt and that is preventing you from enjoying it.

Bette: Barbara, I have much to be responsible for as T does.

Barbara: And why is that, Bette?

Bette: Well for one thing I was a pig to her a few mornings ago and I spanked her extremely hard during sex, making her bleed. What does that say about me?

Barbara: It says that you are human and you are going to make mistakes, but that does not make you a bad person.

Tina: I love it when Bette gets very aggressive during sex but this time she seemed troubled by it.

Bette: I made you bleed, Tina. That should say something right there!

Barbara: Were you angry at Tina?

(Bette looked away from Tina, her eyes were filled with tears and she bit on her lip to prevent from breaking down completely.)

Barbara: It is okay to be angry.

Bette: I know it is and yes I was angry at Tina, I was punishing her for what she did out there on the Sunset Strip but I didn’t want to hurt her.

Tina: I knew that you were upset with me, babe. You had every reason to be but you need to know it is okay to be angry with me.

Bette (softly): I hate being angry with you though.

Tina (stroking Bette’s hair): I know you do.

Barbara: On the other hand, anger can be a very powerful and positive feeling if you use it in an appropriate and acceptable way. You were angry at Tina because you love her and care about her very much. If you didn’t get angry, then you did not love her. You have to look at it that way.

Bette: Good point, Barbara.

Barbara: However, using physically punishment on another person is unacceptable and should be eighty sixed even if it is rough sex.

Bette: I understand, Barbara.

Barbara: Have you two ever thought of going away somewhere for a while?

Tina: No we haven’t, but it sounds like a good idea.

Barbara: What do you think, Bette? Do you think this would help your wife?
