Reconciliation-Part 8
Part 8
The following afternoon, Chelsea called into Dylan’s hotel room to check on her. A groggy and disoriented Dylan answered the phone. Chelsea chuckled when she heart Dylan’s voice, “Did you plan to sleep the day away? I thought I would let you sleep in but this is a bit much.”
Dylan rolled over and looked at the clock, “Shit! I didn’t get to sleep until the sun was coming up. I just tossed and turned last night. I was really restless.”
“Well get yourself together. Tina has a bunch of promo interviews for you leading up to the premiere. She added one for today in about 2 hours. I think it is with that woman Alice we met at the Shark Bar.”
“Alice! Why did she set that up? Why did you agree to that?”
“We thought it would reach a different audience. She has a lesbian social internet site. She does interviews for her podcast. Since part of the documentary deals with sexuality of the gang leaders she thought this would be a relevant interview.”
Dylan groaned and reluctantly agreed to go to the interview. One thing about having her work released by a major studio that she hated most was that she was subjected to their promotional stunts. It was a major surprise when she got the call several months ago that they wanted to complete and release her documentary. She was stunned to hear that the footage was still in existence. She was sure that after what happened, Helena would have destroyed the footage she had taken. She was pleased to hear that the story of these women involved in gang life would be told. The request to give some input into finalizing the film was stressful enough for her since it meant reliving the time she spent with Helena and the heartbreak she knew she caused. But just when she thought she had her emotions under control, she got the call to come to LA for promotional events leading up to the release.
The thought of returning to LA sent her into several panic attacks accompanied by loss of appetite and sleepless nights. She longed to get through this LA phase of the release. She had never gotten over her experience with Helena or the guilt she felt about what happened. Despite that, even with all the time that had passed she did not have the courage to face Helena again and deal with the pain she knew she caused. Regardless her life’s events had brought her back to this point. Once she saw Helena, no matter the outcome, she knew she needed to face her. She needed to explain and apologize for betraying Helena in the way that she did.

I Love Dylan and Helena together, They need to talk and then go on with their life.
Well well look at you Squirl, where is that hot chick from down south? Oh ya she was just a distraction, ok, so maybe Dylan maybe never is forgivin but at least someone should tell Helena that she should listen to her and that may help her move forward in her life. Excellent chapter. Thank you, Md
Md the hot chick from down south may just make a reappearance. Don’t give up on her yet. ;-)
So Alice had an affair & now relates to Dylan, that’s cool but she needs to learn not to expose another person’s life without their permission. One day it will come back to bite her in the arse. As for Dylan, symapathetic treatment there from u and maybe she can eventually move on from Danny and grow up. Its not easy when u’ve been abandoned & abused to trust so it won’t be easy for Dylan to find love and keep it. I so do not want Helena hurt & as they say ‘u should never go back’. It just doesn’t work when u’ve been done over as badly as Dylan did Helena over. There will always be a question of trust & respect. Maybe u can swing it. Let’s see.
Great chapter again and yes hopefully Helena will give Dylan that chance to talk to each other. It’s the only way for both of them to either move on or see if there’s still a chance for them to get back together. PPS thanks
A fabulous update. I enjoyed reading Dylan’s thoughts. pps
The back story you’ve written for Dylan is completely believable. I love how you’re able to take the characters that the show created but failed to flesh out and make them real and human.
