The words sank in but Shane wanted to ask so many questions, Tabitha was far too good at hiding things and Shane suspected that there was a lot more to Tabitha Green than she let on.

You think we should intervene?

Tabitha nodded, looking back over to the ghost from her past.

So lets go and tell this woman where to get off.

They stood up, Dana watching intently as they made their way off into battle. A few other glances and looks were cast their way, Shane already had such a renowned reputation and now she was with Tabitha they had become the most desired couple in Milk. Curious and jealous glances seemed to follow them where ever they went, all wanting to know who Shanes mystery woman was and if they were exclusive or another one of Shanes meaningless flings.

Shane wasted no time in interrupting the innocent liaison between the two women, going over to Alice, interrupting the conversation and offering no smile or introduction to the other woman.

Al were saving you, this woman’s no good.

Wha…?!

Trust me Al, were saving you. Shane said forcefully, cutting off the disgruntled blonds words before she even had a chance to object.

Alice shook her head and rolled her eyes, she couldnt believe that her first almost successful pull in over a week was being interrupted.

So what if Ive managed to pick another emotionally retarded lez, at least shes hot!

But Shanes attention was now well and truly focused on the scene unfolding before her eyes. Tabitha stood behind the woman, obviously working up the courage to confront her.

Robyn.

Robyn Potter turned round at the sound of such a familiar voice, not that she was surprised to hear it.

Tabitha Green, isnt this a small world.

What are you doing her Robyn? Tabitha said, holding the cold grey eyes firmly, her words harsh and stern.

That’s no way to greet an old friend Tabitha, dont I get a hello kiss?

Tabitha took a step back from the woman, folding her arms across her chest, making it extremely clear that she didn’t even want to be any where near Robyn, let alone kiss her.

Robyn smirked and glanced at Shane.

Youre probably right, wouldn’t want to make you boyfriend jealous.

Tabitha growled, she knew it would get nasty but the last thing she wanted was to pull Shane into it all.

Oh Tabby, I always did like it when you growled.

Why are you here Robyn? she asked again, raising her voice slightly.

Same reason you are I suspect; music, drink and hot girls. Robyn said smugly, motioning to the club around them.

Tabitha hated that crude smile splashed so carelessly across Robyns face. Memories of all the times she had seen that smile flooded back to her, reminding her of all the despicable things which Robyn had done to her in the past.

If I were you Robyn, Id go back home right now. Tabitha said, glaring at the woman with a hate she hadn’t felt for a long time.

Is that a dare or a double dare?

Watching from the side lines, Shane and Alice were captivated, as was half the club by this point. Shane had never seen this side of Tabitha before, and even though she felt bad that Tabitha was having to go through such a confrontation she couldn’t help but feel turned on at seeing her so angry.

That was a threat Robyn.

Robyn quickly lost her smile and scowled at Tabitha, the two women looking like they were ready to attack at any moment.

I have to say Tabitha youve lost a lot of weight since I last saw you.

Tabitha cursed inwardly, Robyn knew Tabitha when she was pregnant with Ella and knew all about the family secret. Tabitha glanced at Shane briefly, she could definitely hear everything and was now going to learn a ***** of a lot more about her past than Tabitha had intended her to.

That’s not up for discussion Robyn. Tabitha hissed, taking a step towards her in a vain attempt to quieten their conversation.

But Robyn knew exactly what she was trying to do.

Why not? Dont your new friends know about your secret little bump?

Shane and Alice looked at each other in shock.

Bump? they said in unison, quickly turning their attention back to Tabitha and Robyn. This was just getting interesting!
Shut the ***** up Robyn, you have no right bringing that up.

Robyn laughed, a bitter and scornful laugh which sent shivers up Tabithas spine. She knew at that moment this was certainly not going to end well.

You haven’t told them have you? Well its a good job you got rid of it or this could become very awkward.

Tabitha was at a loss for words, she wanted to look at Shane to see how she was taking all of this but couldn’t give anything like that away to Robyn.

Tabithas silence spoke volumes anyway, she looked down at the floor not knowing what to say next.

You did get rid of it, didn’t you Tabitha? Robyn asked, her smile had now returned she had the upper hand in the argument. Wait, hang on, let me get this straight. Not only did you give birth to a ***** child, but you kept it as well?!

Tabitha suddenly couldn’t care about Shane finding out, no one was going to talk about her daughter like that.

What I do is my decision Robyn, no one elses and it certainly isn’t any of your business. And never, ever talk about my daughter in that way. Tabitha said, keeping her voice low but holding Robyns eyes with a look that’s could of killed.

Daughter?! You you kept that little runt?! Robyn shouted, managing to engage the whole clubs attention by that point.

The anger was bubbling up inside Tabitha, begging to be let loose. She couldnt remember the last time she had felt so much hate towards just one person, now Tabitha certainly wasn’t a violent person but right at that moment she wanted to wipe that look off Robyns face so badly she would have done anything. Luckily somewhere deep inside of her she managed to find some restraint and a dash of humility, calming down her exterior for the time being.

The only runt here is you Robyn, now I want you to listen really carefully because Im only going to say this once. Tabitha locked eyes with the woman, hoping that her words would sink in somewhere. For the first time in your life shut your ***** mouth until Ive finished, I know I say this every time I see you but this time I really, really never want to see you again Robyn, because unlike you I’ve moved on and don’t need to bring up the past to make myself feel better. I’ve got new friends, a new life and I certainly don’t want any scum like you hanging around me and messing things up. Tabitha stepped foreword and shoved the shocked woman back a pace. So you better start moving.

Shane straightened up as soon as she saw Tabitha start to push her arch enemy away, she wanted to stand by her girlfriends side and protect her. But she felt strangely detached from the event unfolding before her eyes, as if she were just watching two strangers argue.

Robyn didn’t appreciate being shoved and reeled back, her face red with anger.

Thats where youre wrong Tabitha, I didn’t mess anything up, you managed to do that all by yourself! If it wasn’t for me youd still be stuck at home, typing away in your room with a fat rapist husband holding your ***** child! Robyn was fuming, she shoved Tabitha back then held her in place. Making it clear who was the taller and stronger out of the two women.

By this time the whole club was captivated, Shane had felt the glances towards her as they all watched her girlfriend get shouted at. But Shane couldn’t move, she was torn. On one hand she wanted to defend Tabitha to the death, be able to stand by her side and show everyone exactly how much she cared for her. But on the other hand she felt betrayed and lied to, Tabitha had told her nothing of her past and now it was all coming out in the middle of a club.

Alice nudged her, bringing her back down into the real world.

Shane dont you think you should do something? she asked carefully, noticing the uneasy aura surrounding her friend.

Tabitha shook off Robyns hold on her and stumbled back, tears could be seen stinging her eyes and she blinked them away, not wanting to be seen upset.

I told you never to speak about my daughter like that! Tabitha said through clenched teeth, pushing the tears well and truly away.

Robyn smirked again and that was all Tabitha needed to send her over the edge. Without thinking about it Tabitha stepped towards Robyn, lifted her hand and slapped the woman. She reeled back, holding her cheek, a gasp catching in her throat with shock.

Shane didn’t hesitate this time, before Robyn had time to react Shane was beside Tabitha and Alice was ready to restrain the unruly Robyn if she decided to hit back.

I think youd better leave. Shane said forcefully, standing protectively in front of Tabitha.

Who do you think you are, Tabithas personal bodyguard?

Shane stepped towards Robyn, her face contorted into a disgusted grimace. Even Robyn looked scared as Shanes dark eyes shot daggers through her stare.

Im your worst ***** nightmare if you don’t get the ***** out of here.

Robyn, glanced behind her to see Tabitha had turned away from the whole affair and had her head bowed as another woman with brown hair comforted her. Smirking at a job well done, Robyn met Shanes gaze again, a look of triumph across her features.

What ever, this place is a dive anyway.

Robyn held her head high as she made a quick exit, the stares and comments following her out like a bad smell. Once she had left, the club seemed to sigh in relief and return back to drinking, dancing and what ever everyone had been doing before Tabitha had confronted Robyn.

Shane was quickly joined by Alice, who was obviously still taking in all the possible gossip as she just stood there, eyes wide and mouth hanging attractively open.

I’ve never seen you that scary before Shane, well done. she said eventually, giving Shane a pat on the back for her efforts.

But Shane was not in the mood to celebrate. Her mind was buzzing with every thing she had learned that night, all she wanted to know was why Tabitha hadn’t thought to tell her any of her past before. Why Shane had to find it out in the middle of Milk during an argument with an Ex, she felt like such a fool. She felt cheated and betrayed, she had thought Tabitha was different. But now she knew she was just the same as all the other lying, cheating women out there. All this anger was swirling and bubbling up inside Shane, willing to be let out. Unfortunately the wrong person interrupted her thinking and she couldnt hold back.
