Soulmates
She immediately felt a freedom as she floated through the air. Her last thoughts were of Bette. “Bette please forgive me I just couldn’t hang on anymore. Forgive me my love.”
Bette had just gotten up for the morning. Sitting around a little fire he was warming his drink when a sudden pain pierced him. His whole body shook and he knew. He just knew … Tina was gone. Bette chest started heaving, his breathing becoming difficult. With tears steaming down his face Bette finally erupted with a primal scream that reach the heavens. All his pain, loss and emotional turmoil spewed worth with the scream. Bette knew she was gone, he hadn’t found her. He had lost her forever.
It took Bette quite a while to regain enough sense to figure out what to do. Did he continue to look for Tina so he could bring her body back or did he simply pick up and return home. Bette couldn’t make up his mind. Sitting on top of his horse he started off in a direction but still wasn’t clear where he was going. He just needed to ride. To feel the air against his face, to feel alive.
Bette rode for the entire day and well after the sun had gone done. He rode to exhaust himself and when he reached that destination he got down, spread out his bed and went to sleep. Hoping to escape the reality of his life in his dreams.
Bette had done a good job of wearing himself out to the point that the moment his head hit the ground he went asleep. For now all the thought of sorrow and loss were put aside as Bette fell into a deep sleep. It was in his dreams that he finally found Tina. Or more appropriately Tina found Bette. She came to him in his dreams. She was beautiful with her eyes bright, full of love, her hair flowing freely around her shoulders. She was dressed in a white satin gown that clung to her body in all the right places. Bette felt blessed to be in her presence once again. His heart soared at the sight of her. Tina was waving for him to come to her. Bette feeling suddenly left out ran. He couldn’t get to his Tina fast enough.
As he approached her she spoke to him. “Don’t be sad my love. This is just the way it was meant to be. We will be together again.”
Bette felt confused wanting to argue with Tina. “But Baby I have been looking for you for so long. You can’t leave me.”
“Bette a love like ours never goes away. You will see me again. If not now then soon. Know that I love you now as much and more than ever. Our love is forever.” With that Tina turned to leave.
“No don’t go… I can’t go on without you.” Bette pleaded when he realized she was leaving.
Turning back “You are never without me. Believe me. We will be together again.” With that she left.

That was a hard read because it’s Tina dying and Bette left alone. You wrote the end of the Nomadic Life, is that a clue to a sequel? I’m going back to read the AN to see. I have this bad habit of not reading the AN’s and I end up jumping to the wrong conclusion at times so forgive me for my igs
Wow, sad but so good
I loved reading Nomadic Life, so sad and tragic but I like what Tina said that their love is forever. I can’t wait to see how you continue this love to the present day Bette and Tina.
Wow….that ending came as a shock. After all the pain and suffering Tina went through with the hope of being with Bette again she ends up choosing to die rather than wait any longer. So sad. As for the present time story I can’t wait to see how they meet. At this point they appear to be complete opposites. Bette doesn’t seem like anyone Tina would have any interest in.I’m anxious to see how you resolve that. Thanks for posting this story.
oh so sad about nomadic tina but so true, their love is forever and they will find each other again, can’t wait to read about another life and see what’s happening in the present :)
I’m a huge fan of your work! (Never told you before.) I read all of this story in one sitting…took me hours. So, after two weeks, I am really, really, really looking forward to the next update…!!! Yah! Yah! Can’t wait much longer!
that was just so heartbreaking.Thank you for this story and I eagerly wait to see how you continue the meeting of Bette and Tina in the present. Thank you for this story and for writing.
I love your writing but this story is too sad for my tast.
There’s going to be a few other lifetimes and each is going to end bad? Ugh, my heart! Anyway I love the premodern times and I’m excited to see B&T there. :)
I can’t believe what I’m doing I’m crying like a child. that was soooo sad. Now, Tina’s and Bette’s souls r in quest for each other, rn’t they?thank u for the update, now will u tell us what happened to Bette in Italy? I can’t wait to see our Tibette meets in present story.
Very sad and emotinal. And realistic:( Really hard chapter, great story.
Oh no no no!…it’s so heartbreaking! :’-( … Jwet you make me cry like a baby! So sad!! .. Anyway, so there’ll be only one time line of the present story in your next installment? Or would there’ll be a post nomadic story?! .. Honestly.. If there’s more story with this heartbreaking ending, I don’t think my little heart can take it. I’ll just skip to the present only :-p which I hope would have happy ending :-) or maybe… Would you kind enough to give tissue warning beforehand?! At least when someone read this kind of story in public would know what to prepared and expect and not attracted any stranger to stare into her tearful face.. ;-) lol.. Thanks Jwet for this marvelously written chapter! :-)
So sad that in the nomadic tale that Tina has died. Can’t wait to see which period you choose for the next timeline. I am happy to see that in the modern time, Tina has finally admitted that Justin needs to go! :) Thanks for this complex story!
Whew! Powerful, sad, full of expectation. What a well written story. I look forward to what comes next. Thanks for these stories.
I’m just glad nomadic Tina’s free of that animal. I hope whoever was chasing them gave him what he deserved. Looking forward to your next post, thanks :)
