"Please, before every part my body revolts against me… I need coffee," Alice begged the cashier and was promptly give her caffeinated goodness in a cup.

Taking a blessed sip, Alice immediately relaxed. All was now right with her world. Nodding her thanks she turned to go sit at her usual table only to find it occupied. Not only that, but almost all the tables were taken.

"You look confused, babygirl," Kit said from behind the counter.

"Who the hell are all these people," the blonde questioned, sitting on a stool wearing disbelieving look.

Chuckling, Kit replied, "They’re called customers."

"I’ve never seen any of them before."

"Maybe that’s because this is the first time you’ve ever been here before 9 in the morning, let alone 6:30! What’s that all about anyway?"

"I am doing research for my next article ‘Top 10 Places in LA to Exercise before Work for Free’," the journalist explained before letting out a long sigh. "This article is going to be the death of me. I haven’t been up this early since…since.. who knows when. As far as I am concerned only crazy people wake up this early to torture themselves…"

Alice trailed off as she caught sight of the newest customer to walk through the door of the Planet. Her dark brown hair was pulled back tightly in a ponytail. She had obviously just finished running or doing some type of exercise as her veins were popping and sweat was cause her top to cling to her amazingly toned body. Alice couldn’t see her face at first because she was looking at her wrist watch. But when the brunette did look up to place her order, Alice forgot how to breathe.

"You’re drooling," Kit teased as she began putting different ingredients in the blender.

 Any comment Alice was about to say was drowned out by the blender, so instead she turned her attention to the line only to not to see the brunette.

"Hi ya, Kit," the brunette greeted as took a seat on the stool right next to Alice.

Trying to act calm and cool, Alice took a sip of her coffee watching the interaction between the cute stranger and her friend in her peripheral vision.

"Hey Dana. I haven’t seen you in two weeks. Where have you been girl," the older woman replied as she began to pour the contents of the blender into two to-go cups.

"I had a tournament in Florida. I just got back into town last night." Dana reached across Alice with a polite "Excuse me" and grabbed two straws. As she did so, Alice turned and gave the brunette a smile causing Dana to pause for a split second before sporting a goofy grin of her own.

Darting her eyes over to Kit quickly then back to the blonde sitting next to her, Dana gave Alice a conspiratorial wink. She then began tapping one of the straws on the counter a few times, and then brought the exposed part of the straw to her lips taking aim at Kit and fired. "Direct hit," she proclaimed with a chuckle as the wrapper bounced off the other woman’s forehead.

"Do you want these or not," Kit threaten holding a drink in each hand, "Cuz I’ll toss ‘em if you don’t behave."

"No, no, no, please… Harrison will kill me. You know what a drama queen he is. I’m sorry Kit," Dana said in flurry.

Laughing, Kit handed over the two drinks proclaiming Dana to be too gullible.

"Yeah, well you’ve never seen Harrison in a pout. I wouldn’t hear the end of it today," Dana replied glancing out front door catching the sight of a familiar car outside. "Speak of the devil. I’ll see you tomorrow Kit," she said hoping off her stool. Dana gave Alice a grin, and softly said "Bye."

Before Alice could get her brain to comprehend what the brunette just said, she was already gone. She spent a few seconds staring at the door the brunette just walked out of before turning back to Kit.

"Tell me everything you know," Alice demanded causing Kit to laugh out loud.
