I took a deep breath as I approached the door of the small little house. Tina and Chris led the way while Laney and Hailey wandered behind me. When the opened the door we immediately heard the angry shouting of someone. I gulped at the intensity of his voice.
"Why is dad mad?" Tina whispered to Chris softly.
"I don’t know but you better not tell him your news until he calms down," Chris suggested.
We entered the living room were all of Tina’s family was gathered around. They all had blonde hair but some had blue eyes, some had brown, some had hazel like Tina’s, and one had green eyes, he seemed to be in a corner by himself.
Tina’s father was in the middle of the room yelling angrily. I could see his features in every single one of his children, that’s what made them look alike.
"I don’t need no fuckin’ faggots in my home! You hear me Ryan!" Tina’s dad yelled looking at the one in the corner with green eyes.
"Wait, Ryan you’re gay?" Tina said in surprise.
"The hell he’s not!" Tina’s dad yelled marching forward and grabbing Ryan by the shirt. He threw him harshly against the wall and said, "if you are then you pack your bags an’ leave cause you’re no longer part of this fam’ly!"
"I have to agree with your father Ryan," their mother chirped.
The rest of their siblings nodded solemnly except one that looked sad and the one I saw in the picture Tina drew. He was holding that daughter of his and the woman on his arm was giving Ryan a disgusted look. Oh I definitely didn’t like her.
"Um no! No! I’m ain’t gay! I’m ain’t gay!" Ryan said desperately. Liar. I have excellent gaydar and I know this guy is gay. "I was just sayin’ we should be more acceptin’ of them, but I’m ain’t gay I swear!"
"That’s what I like to hear," Tina’s dad said patting Ryan’s arm with a relieved sigh, then turning around to address everybody else, "and that rule goes for all of you. There ain’t no faggots in the Kennard family."
Chris, Hailet, Laney, and I looked at Tina who gulped nervously. If he was gonna treat her like that, I didn’t want her to tell him.

Geez, that family certainly is twisted differently and it is a small house, but damn. Mr. Kennard is a red-necked bastard. Ryan should move out to LA with the rest of them so he can be free. If his dad catches him, he will kill him. Happy Tina doesn’t live there anymore. Gosh, I know Bette is horribly embarrassed and won’t be able to hold her head up when she sees the rest of them.
