Window of Opportunity ch. 71
Window of Opportunity
Chapter 71
Tina
We made it to breakfast with everyone the following morning and enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was there including Vanessa. She and Bette made plans for lunch the following week. Alice was busting at the chops to know how Vanessa and Helena knew each other. We left as the story was being told of their relationship. We didn’t linger as we typically would have on a Sunday morning. There was just too much to do with the wedding less than a week away and it being held at our house. We left Angie with Kit and went home to clean and work in the garden. Bette at the beginning of the month had hired a crew to come out and do a deep cleaning, for which I was thankful but we needed to get the presents out of the guest room for Mom and Daddy to be able to stay there as well as pick up things around the house. Bette took the boxes that she and Mary had placed in there and took them into Angie’s room. She somehow found space in her closet and under her bed. We set aside one box to go through later. I spent a couple of hours in the garden while Bette took care of the rest of the house. Bette had someone coming out later in the week to take the fence down that separated our yard from Shane’s so we would have enough room to accommodate everyone. As our friends started dating and new family members came into the picture, the number of guests continued to increase. We just kept calling Kit so that there would be enough food. She laughed finally after one of those calls and told me that she never believed that we would have as few people as we had planned. She had originally planned for a hundred people. She told me to let her know when the number passed that and she would be concerned. Damn, it better not get to a hundred.
Between cleaning and gardening, Bette and I were able to find time to be intimate before Angie returned. As we lay there after she made me feel things that I hoped to feel again very soon, I apologized for my terrible disposition while we were out shopping. I really hated using hormones as an excuse but that was so not my usual personality. She just laughed and told me that she was thick skinned and was able to take anything that I could dish out. It’s amazing to me that each pregnancy has had so many differing results for me.

I love this story. Each chapteris better than the previous one, if that is possible. The way that you write the love that Bette and Tina share, is amazing. I love the way that Bette is stepping up to the plate to be there for Tina. Please keep this story going, as I have said before, it is my all time favorite!!!!PPVS
I love how the everyone just pulls together for one another! tina bette take care of her mom will be feeding her herself. being anemic when pregnant is aweful..there are days when you feel like ur steam rolled over… hopefully tina’s iron count will go up enough to keep her home. but if not they can rescheduale the wedding for a few weeeks later. tina and the babies are the most important thing. i think it’s grea that bett eis talking about how worried she is and yet being strong enough for tina to lean on…she has come a long way! :)PPS
Damn this is a good story! I never get tired of it. This chaptr really showed hoe each of them hsve matured in their relationships and how they have stopped playing roles for one another. Instead they find each other’s strengths and lean on them when they are needed. Fabulous update NAG!
I don’t know how I missed commentingn on the last chapter because I read it and loved every word of it. You keep doing marvelous things with this story and I just adore it. Andit looks as though you’ve posted another one already. I hope that’s the case. It’s wonderful.
They really do have a wonderful family. I love fried chicken but don’t indulge as much as I use to. I would have loved to have seen Angie all covered in mud. At first you had me scared in a different manner. Not that this health issue is not bad but I was fearing something else. Glad that you are able to get some sleep.
Just perfect.
Hope Tina doesn’t go to the hospital, but if she does they need to get marrid there and then reschedule the other wedding for their friends and family…no one has to know just them, but I’m holding out for the planned wedding, and honeymoon! PPS
I love how they all pull together,as well as the love that Bette and Tina are sharing.
Great post I’m glad it was something that can be taken care of by following doctors orders as apposed to something life threatning. Hopefully Tina will improve enough to be able to go on with her wedding. Good to see Bette being so supportive she is afraid but is not holding it in she and Tina are being there for each other. Oh, I hope Tina will not blame herself for her severe anemia. Bette’s right. Her health and that of their babies are more important than the wedding. They can always reset if she’s really not that well. It’s heart warming how their extended family come together during times of joy and times of crisis. Having such a strong and tight support system is truly a blessing. I enjoyed Angie’s moments of pure joy with her grandparents. And Tina’s emergency “vomit” exit to Kit’s office with Bette in tow was a classic Tina-on-fire move. LOL! They’ve both changed for the better, are more honest and communicate with each other more than ever and their love for each other just keep going deeper and stronger. It’s really amazing to read and watch their love grow. Thank you for another brilliant, lovely and richly detailed chapter, NAG!!! Flying kisses to your little G. Mwah! :>
Oh my, oh my, NAG you sure do your reserch, Tina needs to really take care of herself and let the others help where and when needed, being anemic during pregnetcy is no joke. Love that the fam are all involved in the support process. Now please don’t let us wait to long to find out if Tina’s going to get her wedding day. Thank you, Md
I’m normally I silent reader but I must tell you how great this story is. I love it. It’s get from chapter to chapter better.
Hope the wedding goes ahead and Tina does not have to go to hospital.Loving how the whole family come together to show their love and support.I also love it how in every chapter you add a new twist to the story which makes us wanting for the next chapter.PPS
Wow – it is mind-blowing how each chapter gets better. I have a good vibe for the wedding, and it will be even more special (is that possible?) becuase of the ‘what-if’s. As always, thanks for the love and effort you put into bringing us this little slice of heaven.
When I was working it never failed that if I wanted to do something or go on vacation all hell broke loose. I just think it is karma.
VERY nicely written chapter. It’s great to see B&T approcah this problem as a family along with Angie. I love to see their circle of family grow bigger and ever so stronger. Hello G man :o).
oops, somehow i missed the last chapter…my bad…so worrying about tina’s health once again…pps
