“Okay I see your point.  How about a June wedding Bette?  Haven’t you ever wanted to be a June bride?”

Bette rolled her eyes.  There aren’t too many times when Bette would admit something like this about Tina but every once in a while she could be such a…a…girl.

“Uh I guess.  Hold on let me check my schedule…”

Bette scrolled through her Blackberry to her calendar and checked to see if any major events were coming up. 

“June would work for me if that’s what you want T.”

“Is that what you want Bette?”

Uh oh.  Tina had that tone in her voice that told Bette she wasn’t happy about something so Bette treaded lightly.

“Yes?”

It came out more like a question than an answer because truthfully she didn’t care when it was.  The date, location and type of flowers they chose were all trivial issues to her.  What she cared about was making Tina happy and re-confessing her love for her beautiful wife in a public forum would make Tina happy beyond belief.  Bette was never one for a grand gesture unless it was warranted and in her book this was borderline.  She didn’t understand why they couldn’t just redo their vows with their close friends in an intimate setting instead of going through the motions to put on this huge ordeal that probably only a few people outside their close group of friends will really remember when it’s all over?  Bette didn’t get it.

“Okay well why don’t we block out June for now and hmmm…May and July as backups?”

“Block out Spring.  Got it.”

Tina laughed and threw a piece bread she’d been buttering at Bette.  She knew she may be getting into this a little too much but she loved things like this and she really wanted this day to be perfect especially since Liz and Sky would be a part of it.  This was her family and she was damn proud to be showing it off for all to see.

“We’re back!”

Liz came tearing into the house with Sky and Dana in tow as the three of them made a dash for the 2 available bathrooms in the house.  Bette and Tina watched with amusement as Liz skidded around the corner heading to her mommies bathrooms while Sky rushed into the one he shared with Liz and slammed the door in Dana’s face.  Of course Dana was going to let the kids go first but it had been hilarious in the car when she told Liz and Sky she could beat them to the bathrooms once they got home.  Alice came walking in a few seconds later holding takeout bags from PF Changs.
